The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day always pays its debts.
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
I’ll be two episodes behind on Game of Thrones before I get back from Cannes… if any of you fuckers spoil shit for me I will be very sad and cry a little bit, so don’t do that. I’m in public and don’t want to cry in front of strange Frenchmen.
What can I say? Game of Thrones continues to kick my ass episode by episode and the more Tyrion Lannister-heavy season 2 makes my Dinklage-loving heart flutter. I miss my regular Game of Thrones fix, so I packed this really sweet image of Peter Dinklage and author and Santa Claus impersonator George RR Martin having a laugh on the set.
Thanks to Pat Barnett for the image! Click to enlargen!

If you have a behind the scenes shot you’d like to submit to this column, you can email me at quint@aintitcool.com.
Tomorrow’s pic features an actor mugging with a camel.

It'd be nice.

Can't wait to see if they go all in with Tyrion and chop off his schnozzola.
-

Tonight I'm seeing The Raid, so shit be good.

would lose some weight for his health's sake. I want HIM and not some hired hack to finish the Ice and Fire series.
-
Some time in the next three years Martin dies of a massive heart attack. But that's really no spoiler, is it? Shit, I hope the midget isn't still standing in front of him when he keels over. I can see the headline now: "Dwarf dies in avalanche of fat and nappy neckbeard"
-
That is the show I want to see something from! Omar coming!

this is from when george martin first met peter dinklage. he stared at him and laughed for hours.
by DarthBlart
it was very uncomfortable for dinklage.

Probably because Quint' grammar and writing is so bad he doesn't want to get lambasted for it.

...you actually made me laugh out loud.

Both men were exceptionally friendly to us lowly extras...

Is "dwarfy style." The wee one does a chick doggie style on the bed, but has to stand up clutching her ass for dear life while banging away. Always good for a laugh.
-
I don't mean to be a fatalist, but considering how long it took Martin to write the last book (I know it was do to rewrites so don't fucking correct me) that dude better have full, detailed outlines and a dedicated understudy ready, because I don't see that dude doing so great in the next five years or so if he doesn't take care of himself. I'm a casual fan but as readers of the book I imagine his dying before completion has to be a major fear for you. The way I freaked out when King got run over, thinking the Dark Tower would never be completed.
-
I only say it here because I can't say it there. Hm. Weird movie, weird talkback. Go figure.

How the storylines so com
-
How the storylines so comPlEtely reverse from book 2 to 3, where the best book 2 storylines (Tyrion and Arya) kinda fall off in book 3 and the slowest book 2 storylines (Dany and Jon) get incredibly unbelievably awesome in book 3
-
So he could live another 30 years, or die tomorrow. I'm certainly hoping its the latter.

HOLY MOTORS seems like another example of a film school short that has been stretched out to feature length
by MooseMalloy
Like RUBBER. I didn't want to see that one either.
-
Sometime I wish it never got finished and was just left to someone who knew what "the end" means
-
Any particular reason for you wanting him to die tomorrow?
-
Ain't gonna happen. At least I highly doubt it. I guess we'll find out tomorrow night whether or not that's really true, though. But it's pretty much an unnecessary expense ... the way they're cutting corners in the show, I would be REALLY surprised. Plus we have to look at him for (hopefully) many years to come, so it's not like they WANT to make him hideous for viewers. The scar, though ... now that's a different story.
-
I made an incredibly stupid typo. lol Uhum... I meant to say, I certainly hope its the FORMER! Geez.
-
I think King knows he screwed the pooch on that one and is making an effort to rectify the situation. Keep in mind that he made revisions to the first book a very long time ago. I actually like the idea that he might rewrite portions of the latter books, removing himself from the stories. I also like the idea of him writing other stories within the already existing universe.
-
Cus I've just done it twice.
-
idk if the real lawyer (of there was a real life person he was playing) is of the same physical stature, but I thought it was cool to see him in that movie.
-
Everything from WotC onward was awful, which was where he started after the accident, no? Just so much unnecessary, plodding repetition. No, we don't need to see the number 9 again, no we don't need to jump back to New York again for no reason whatsoever... the Morden thing was pointless... Flagg was pointless... him being in it was pointless. All of it was. King forgot the face of his father. If he rewrites from Calla onward, good on him. I personally for awhile thought he was going to do something unbelievably amazing, where he uses the Dark Tower to connect the stories of every book he's ever written, where the strengths and weaknesses of all his many, many characters come to play a role, and likewise explain some of the weird shit out there. I mean, why *not* have both Pennywise and the turtle-god play a role? You've already tied in Hearts in Atlantis, The Stand, and many others, just commit to that direction but then take the time to actually have those crossovers have some deeper meaning. But it's the ability to find deeper meaning that King seems to have left behind. Pity.

George is actually aware of the fact that he is A) Not a 20-year old anymore B) Fat and a posterboy for "massive heart attack". He therefore sat down with David Benioff and... that other guy who produce and write GOT for TV and told them the ending for the series. If he were to die they will conclude the series for him on TV. And who knows, since Benioff is a great writer (25th hour, City of Thieves) he might write the remaining books for George.
-
choices, choices
-
Given the "questing" nature of City of Thieves I could actually see him pulling it off. The 2nd protagonist (forget his name) was actually all too different a character than Jaime Lannister.
-
All we need is a catchphrase for Dinklage.
-
All that came from his brain...

Have to say Season 1 is far better than season 2 so far...
by GravyAkira
Even if these last 2 episodes are amazing, the first season of GOT was far superior in pacing and excitement. Still a good show though.
-
Is that his waist size MOFO has better get writing as he is a shuffling cardiac waiting to happen
-
No shit? Were did you read that?
-
The first book was an atrocious, boring, piece of rubbish. I cannot even fathom wasting my time on that filth in shitty HBO format.
