Was not expecting Nikita to go on. Nice, it's a good show!

-
did that get picked up?
-
Betrayals within betrayals within betrayals, always within the same small cast, can only take it so far. I enjoy the show reasonably well, but they would do well to expand the universe in some way.
-
ringer dead. dead ringer. Poor SMG. even though I'm a buffy fan, i didn't bother to watch what seemed a silly premise.
-
While I enjoy NIKITA and am glad it’s been renewed, it’s a bit ludicrous that these supposedly skilled super-spy-agent types can’t take each other out after this long. I would imagine it’s a difficult task for the writers, making a bunch of staff happen while keeping everything (pretty much) status quo. Maybe if there was an end date (say, the end of season 3), they can start digging in and giving the episodes some real heft (i.e. killing characters off).
-
why is anyone watching that? guilty pleasure?
-
I thought because of their relationship with Sarah Michelle Geller that they would keep the show...plus the show got some decent critical buzz early on...with Gossip Girl ending next season it looks like CW is in a transition period...they better hope Green Arrow is a hit seems like the CW just recycles the same types of series over and over again...clones of other hit shows
-
Or "Dix of Hartie," as I call it. She seems to enjoy it. It's because of women like her who occasionally want some brainless, watchable piece of shit show that programming like "Hart of Dixie" gets renewed.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

Gonna miss those 2 hotties and their 2 other hot friends from the SC. Britt has awesome tits for such a small chick and Phoebe is hot as all hell. Liked the show too, hate that it got cancelled.
-
CW loves her, obviously, so there is a good chance she will land a decent role in one of the 5 new shows they've picked up this week. If they don't, I'm sure ABC Family will grab her. Give it a week or two.
-
So the decision to keep it was made by the studio, not the network. Five bucks says Nikita ends up in charge of Division by the end of the season. Hart of Dixie is a critical darling and well received in CW's key female demo, so it was a shoe-in for renewal. Sad they waited so long to see how the other potential series panned out before giving the official word, as there's only about two weeks left for crew and cast of these shows to find work elsewhere for the next 6 months if their show was cancelled.
-
Actually, amazed that Nikita was renewed, with such a small audience, and going so heavily down the serialized path this season, which is not generally good for attracting new viewers. I just hope it doesn't mean some sort of budget cut. But I'll happily welcome Fonseca and Q back on my TV every week. It's really the only show I would have missed. And I was a sucker for the USA version as well. As for Ringer, I don't know how they would have written SMG's pregnancy into S2. Was Bridget going to get pregnant this time?
-
was an utter bore - stopped watching last November. Guess everyone else followed suit.
-
of the shows, CW's Thu night was certainly loaded with eye candy.
-
Ah, so they're taking everything they learned with Smallville after making it not horrible and...completely ignoring it to make Arrow. Sounds fantastic. I really hope there is an obnoxious love triangle that seems to go on forever.
-
90210, top model, hart of dixie, and especially gossip girl, also nikita, i know ratings to actual viewers isnt how things are done, just a point also ringer got low ratings plus SMG is pregnant

You know a CW show has problems when the adults are more interesting than the teens. That is the problem this show had. The backstory and the adults it was connected to was better than the current stuff the teens were doing. On a shallow note, Britt Robertson, Phoebe Tonkin, Jessica Kennedy and Shelley Henning were fun to look at.
-
It's one of the more underrated shows right now. I just hope the writers see season three as a gift and write it so it can serve as a final season, so there's no infuriating cliffhanger like Alcatraz.

Should have cancelled Supernatural not Secret Circle, the show lost its way a long time ago!
by CeejayNightwing
I'm actually shocked they cancelled Secret Circle, it made for a good double viewing with Vampire Diaries and a possible crossover episode potential!

Ringer was the only CW show I watched. So... Sayonara, CW.
by cookepuss
Kind of a shame too. Ringer was goofy & soapy, but a whole lot of fun. The real problem with the show wasn't the outlandish twists. It was that they were juggling too many subplots. Most were good, but a few were dead weight. Nestor Carbonell's a good actor, but his story sucked the life and fun out of the show whenever it came on. CW probably also had problems with the fact that their normal demographic skews young while most of the Ringer cast was 30-45. On the plus side, somebody in creative clearly saw the writing on the wall and resolved every plot by the finale. So, except for the sister VS sister feud, Ringer really didn't leave off unanswered questions or cliffhangers like Alcatraz, which had he protagonist dead on a slab. Bad news for SMG, but probably good news for Leah Thompson's daughter Zoey Deutch, who played Juliet. This frees her up to do other stuff, including the type of teen friendly crap that CW normally churns out.
-
My gf's love for Ringer and One Tree was hogging valuable DVR space. Once Private Practice ends I might finally get the thing below 60%.
-
And Ringer was always destined for the can.

Wait, Gellar's leggy daughter was played by Lea Thompson's kid?!
by Nasty In The Pasty
DAMN, I *thought* she looked kinda familiar.

I can't say I'm surprised or upset it wasn't renewed. With Vampire Diaries I was intrigued and needed to know what would happen next, but with this I felt like it was just struggling to keep itself going. Either the writers weren't interested or they didn't know what they were doing--or maybe both. It was so sluggish, and the twists when they finally happened were more often lame than not. Heck, the characters were most interesting when the titular circle didn't actually exist. And whoever said the adults were more interesting, I kind of agree except that they were still not THAT interesting either. For a show that's supposed to be about hot teenaged witches, this thing never delivered on fun or suspense. Thomas Dekker had a better part and more chemistry with his costars in Terminator and Heroes than here. Of all the new faces, I hope to see Pheobe Tonkin graduate to better parts in better shows (so NOT Gossip Girl, or 90210: We'll Never Die, or the like). Jessica Parker Kennedy too. Britt Robertson and Shelly Hennig tried but they had two of the more unsuccessful characters that unfortunately got too much of the focus. Chris Zylka was adequate playing the Luke Perry stock character, but he went from interesting to boring in seconds IMO. Luis Hunter managed to have TWO lame deaths, he must have pissed off the wrong somebody. Basically the attractive cast was the ONLY thing really keeping this tug going in the end and not even for their chemistry, so I get why it died.

Lots of new shows coming to the cw...pretty kewl...I just wanna know where they are gonna place "Green Arrow"...After Vampire diaries on Nikita on fridays..Anywho green arrow is my most anticipated show...cause its not the Kids green arrow that was on smallville..thank god...
-
They've made a huge mistake in canceling Ringer & TSC. Both shows were just finding their ground and the setups for season 2 were great! CW execs have no clue!

@nasty: Yeah. I kept saying to myself, "This chick looks like Lorraine McFly." LOL
by cookepuss
It wasn't til I went to IMDB that it clicked. She's not exactly like her mom, but more than enough where you can't shake the feeling that you've seen her before. She's only 17 so it's a matter of time before the similarities start adding up. Her mom was 25 in BttF.

@laniebeth: RE: Ringer. The writers closed off most of the plots. They'd have to have started fresh for S2 anyway.
by cookepuss
The handwriting was already on the wall. S1 only left the Andrew/Bridget relationship and the prospect of a Siobhan/Bridget round 2 in the queue. Sad that the show got killed after only one season, but the writers pretty much tied up everything with a pretty bow. Same reason I wouldn't have been so distressed if Fringed hadn't gotten renewed for a final season. Excluding the ominous warning at the end from September, last night's finale gave everybody a happy ending and resolved the season's great mysteries. Most shows don't get even that.
-
Girl is just starting to get her career back and attract some positive casting attention, and bam, it's back to babyland. It's not like he's bringing home the bacon either, as VO gigs pay for shit, especially when you're voicing the least liked character of the bunch.

another BEAUTY AND THE BEAST series??? the cw isn't even trying nomore

@rsanta74, I also felt the same way about learning that "Ass Girl" from The Social Network as Melanie Griffith's daughter
by Nasty In The Pasty
God, it makes me feel ANCIENT to realize that all of the hotties I gew up on in the 80's now have daughers nearly as old as they were at the time.

Dammit.

The one that makes me feel old is Lisa Bonet's daughter, Zoe Kravitz, who's almost 24 now.
by cookepuss
She's almost 7 years older now than when her mother first started on the Cosby Show. If that shit doesn't make you feel old then nothing will. That and the fact that Sixteen Candles' Molly Ringwald is now 44. Pretty depressing.

this news put a smile on my face. It had a good season i think. glad there is more to come.
