Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. This is the other bit of super hero sequel news that isn't as expected as the Avengers 2 announcement. Looks like Universal might be picking up the Kick-Ass sequel from Matthew Vaughn's company.
Cry Wolf and Never Back Down's Jeff Wadlow has written the script and is in line to direct, according to Deadline.
Even though there's a new writer/director, they expect to get Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse back and they want to be in production by the fall.
I love the first film and while the switch up behind the camera gives me a little pause, I can't help but feel excited that this is on the horizon.
What do you folks think?
