Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with an interesting snippet of a scene from David Cronenberg's COSMOPOLIS [via Allocine]. Contrary to this article's title, Pattinson doesn't "sparkle," but he does make me pause and rethink how I view the guy. It's becoming harder and harder to write the guy off as "That heartthrob vampire who (despite being a million years old) still hangs around 15 year olds in TWILIGHT." Judging from the clip below, it feels like Cronenberg's giving us yet another unnervingly intense flick with (at least in this scene) interesting camera placements that kind of leave you feeling uneasy. It kind of feels wrong to be that close to the characters, like someone slapped a wide angle lens on a camera and had someone shoving him almost into the actors. I like it. My hope, a mass swarm of TWILIGHT fans flock to this flick and get smacked in the face with the awesomeness that is Cronenberg, but that's just me.
Aside from Pattinson, the film also has Jay Burachel, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, Sarah Gadon, and Kevin Durand and with a cast like that being molded by Mr. THE FLY himself, we're in for a treat.
