‘It’s A Trap!!’ . Hercules Did Much Laughing As He Watched Tonight’s Rudd-Infused Almost-Last PARKS AND RECREATION!!
NBC says of “Bus Tour”:
Leslie goes on a bus tour for the final day of her campaign, and is caught off guard when an important person in Pawnee passes away. Meanwhile, Andy susses out a security threat, and Chris finds an unlikely cure for his depression.
More in the text invisible.
* The clip above is tonight’s entire pre-title sequence.
* Andy spends most of the episode as his fake-FBI alter-ego
Burt Macklin. He assigns highly sexual code-names to most of the regular characters. His crime-solving bulletin board cracked me up, as did a violent crime re-enactment.
* We are reminded that at least three beautiful women elected not to be Chris’ girlfriend this season.
* In her stump speech, Leslie references a comedian who’s been dead since 2004.
* Leslie’s tour bus is full of sexy dancers in hot pants.
* If I’m not mistaken, “Yes Dear” icon Mike O’Malley turns up this week.
* The delightfully absent Perd Hapley returns, as does Bobby Newport (Paul Rudd) and his expensive campaign manager Jennifer Barkley (Kathryn Hahn).
* At one juncture early in the episode, I laughed at the sound of the bus door slamming shut.
* Did Adam Scott and Kathryn Hahn play husband and wife in “Step Brothers”? If so, I was reminded of that by this episode.
* Great line: “I wasn’t listening, but I strongly disagree with Ann!”
* Another great line: “I haven’t got all day!”
* How does it end, spoiler-boy? “Great job!”
The season finale airs next Thursday. We’ll know by the following weekend whether or not it was the series finale. I’m guessing not.
9:30 p.m. Thursday. NBC

2nd time in 2 weeks, this episode was broadcast early on another channel.
by V'Shael
And it wasn't as funny as last weeks. Bit of a let down.

The whole using star wars as a pop culture reference joke is getting old.

Not buying the hype this type - watched last weeks after your hype

and it only had a couple of legit laughs.

Vanilla never tasted better.

...I love the show, but this site built up last week's as the best of the season. It was not.

There are other Sci Fi references to be made since the character are sooooo witty.

I too did much laughing.

And I work at a government office. To me, this is just true to life.

13 episode 5th season is a GO!! Fall!! I am one happy fan right now. Hate to see it go, but SO happy and surprised with Fox for giving it the right send-off and doing the right thing with a show they've invested years in. You will be rewarded, Fox. And we'll remember.

gotilk - methinks Fox, who has let a lot of popular sci-fi cult shows die (pick your favorite), has decided to give Fringe a proper send off is

to keep J.J. happy, to insure that he keeps Fox in mind, foremost, for future projects. Alcatraz, was always a better concept than series idea, so its demise is not surprising. For Parks...don't be surprised if NBC announces it for renewal in a couple weeks. It ranked #1 in USA Today's on the bubble shows, and you know the network notices those fan responses (sp. when you are the lowly National Broadcast Company).

Regarding the I hear star wars references and works in a government office...need I say more?

I keep trying, but it keeps not being funny.

I think you're right on that one. Keep JJ happy. Whatever the reason, I'm just SO happy they get a chance to go out on a high note without a cliffhanger. Turns out those rumours of 2 endings for this season were NOT true.

Now we will give you ribs. Also, you will watch the debate. If you like the debate, you will give us more money. That is all. Ron Swanson. I watch this show for Ron, everything else is frosting.

People have iPads now and can't highlight it. Just warn us that spoilers are coming, that's enough.

This is "Eagle 1": "Been There Done That" has left the stage; "I'd Be Lying If I Said I Hadn't Thought About It" is in position.

Chris was one lucky bastard at the end of the episode.
by BurnedNotice_Dude
Wish I could get what he got coming to him. And, Andy's codenames were pretty good.

You can't highlight text on an iPad? o_O That's bizarre. I can highlight text on my *phone*. Huh, so much for being the laptop-killer some people want us to believe. I'm not a hater, I'm genuinely surprised (and perplexed). I, for one, don't have an iPad and I appreciate the invisotext, even *with* spoiler warnings.

You just select and copy the text and paste it in your notepad- problem solved. No need to run out and buy a laptop
