Netflix, already nearing production of a new 10-episode season of “Arrested Development,” has reportedly approached CBS about reviving its 2006-2008 post-apocalyptic drama “Jericho.”
Apparently repeats of the Skeet Ulrich vehicle are popular downloads on the site.
CBS initially cancelled "Jericho" after a 22-episode first season, but ordered seven poorly rated second-season episodes when viewers protested. (Unlike Fox and NBC, CBS is apparently unaccustomed to a lot of viewer protest when it cancels shows.)
The series followed the residents of a small town in Kansas following the nuclear obliteration of most major U.S. cities (but not New York).
Sources caution that talks are in early stages.
Two words, Netflix:
"Veronica Mars."
