A New Trailer For Genndy Tartakovsky's HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA!!
Even thought that first trailer hit the Nets only recently, The Powers That Be have now issued a new version...similarly packaged but somewhat expanded. This via Yahoo.

I can dismiss this because it looks like a DOA cliche-ridden mess. Hope not because it`s Genndy.

I like the current ongoing Clone Wars series a lot, but GT's version from 03-05 kills it in every way.

So why does this CG look like every other Dreamworks project? Also, none of the gags in the trailer were funny. That's an even worse sign than seeing Sandler/ Sandberg et al in the credits.

No one's starting to get a little tired of the "oh, let's put every mythical creature and monster in a room together, laughs ensue" approach?

"Symbiotic Titan" was amazing. Visually incredible, emotionally jarring, and just atmospheric as hell. Too bad Cartoon Network played it as a Saturday Morning Cartoon cereal buster. They continue to underestimate the intelligences of kids. My 7 year old was devastated when it was cancelled.

Or whatever Dark Crystal movie he was supposed to be doing... That was a few years ago now, so I guess it never got of the ground...

Sometimes the comments make you want to do the Homer Neck Wring, but other times these clowns here can actually be insightful and also outright hilarious.

Because Sandler and his buddies were hired LAST SUMMER to provide the voices for a film releasing a year later. Which means most if not all of the animation was done before Sandler signed on. It takes years to animate a film and the voice work is usually done FIRST so the animators can work with the actors' performances. This leads me to believe that Sandler was hired after the animation had been completed so his name could salvage what was a mess of a production.

I may end up hating it for the Sandler of it...sure, I'm a perennial Sandler fan, but he's more "miss" than "hit...but fuck if I don't like me some Genndy Tartakovsky. Man's an animation genius. Can't wait for THAT part of the production at least.
