Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I've spent some time at the Hero Complex Fest in LA ever since their very first year. They've had some really great programming. Dick Donner with Superman, Ridley Scott with Alien and Blade Runner, Leonard Nimoy with Star Trek IV, Christopher Nolan with Insomnia and Warren Beatty with Dick Tracy to name a few.
Tomorrow morning they're going to announce the full schedule for this year's festival (taking place May 18-21 at the Regal Cinemas LA Live theater), but I have a little advance bit of news on one of the films/guests this year.
Thhhhaattt's right, dudes. Peter Weller will be on hand to show a newly remastered digital print of RoboCop and do a Q&A. Weller will be there Saturday, May 19th.
I think I'm doing Cannes this year, so I'm afraid this will be the first HC Fest I've missed, but having had an advance look at the line-up, I'm jealous of those who get to attend this year.
Tickets go on sale Thursday and you can keep tabs on all that good stuff at the official website
I'll update this story with the full line-up in the morning! Now check out the Jim Lee poster!
