IRON MAN 2 might be the weak link in the Marvel Movie Universe, but, if the cast being accumulated for Tony Stark's solo follow-up is any indication of what Shane Black has in store for us, then IRON MAN 3 will more than make up for our disappointment two years ago.
After adding Guy Pearce in a supporting role and Sir Ben Kingsley as an unspecified villain, Jessica Chastain appears set to come aboard, reviving talks with Marvel Studios to play a rival scientist to Robert Downey Jr., according to Deadline.
Chastain had one hell of a year in 2011 - TAKE SHELTER, THE DEBT, THE HELP, THE TREE OF LIFE, TEXAS KILLING FIELDS, CORIOLANUS - all exceptional work, so, while it's still up for speculation as to who exactly Chastain might play, she's definitely a fine addition to IRON MAN 3 in any capacity.
