Gina Carano May Be Kicking Ass Behind The Wheel For FAST SIX!!
The Kidd here...
Fresh off her first starring turn in Steven Soderbergh's HAYWIRE, former MMA star Gina Carano is about to take her ass-kicking ways to the FAST & FURIOUS franchise.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Carano is in talks to join the cast of FAST SIX in some capacity, although those details don't seem too easy to come by with Chris Morgan's script locked up pretty tightly right now. As far as we can tell, the core principals will be back - Paul Walker and Vin Diesel - in addition to their new adversary of sorts, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. If the post-credits sequence of FAST FIVE is any further indication of where things are headed, Eva Mendes and Michelle Rodriguez may also be reprising their roles from earlier in the series. Where Carano slots into the crowded cast is anyone's guess, although, on the law enforcement side of things for a showdown with Michelle Rodriguez might not turn out too badly for us watching.
Justin Lin walked away from THE TERMINATOR 5 for the time being to do this, so hopefully it turns out well, much like its surprising predecessor, which was easily the best of the series.

Glad Justin Lin is keeping away from Terminator. While Fast Five did great box-office, it's still a fairly ordinary action-film. I don't think Lin's talents can reach level of creativity/story-telling needed for a Terminator film. It demands talent on Pe

After years of avoiding these films I've become a big fan of the Fast and Furious franchise recently
by Rebel Scumb
I saw the original in the theatres because the girl I was seeing back then dragged me to it. I'm not into car culture at all, but ended up liking it, although was astounded by how much of a ripoff of POINT BREAK it was. I think I saw part 2 in the theatre as well while drunk, but didn't remember it very well. I never revisited the franchise after that, which I think was... I dunno 2003 maybe? Recently I had a craving for a good action film, especially something that wasn't: 1) a superhero/comic book film, which I enjoy but they've completely monopolized summer action movies these days 2) wasn't about emo kids shooting energy out of their hands 3) didn't involve some aging action hero from the 1980s trying to pretend he's not 65 Someone had told me I should give the F&F franchise another go. I'm glad I did! I found all 5 super cheap on blu-ray and watched them all over the course of the easter long weekend Fast Five, and Toyko Drift were far and away my favorites, I'm looking forward to number 6 and actually seeing it in the theatre, I'm glad Justin Lin is back. He seems to be a very solid director, I loved his paintball episode of Community as well.

the original 'The Fast & The Furious' is probably the most homoerotic action film ever made though
by Rebel Scumb
It's actually pretty amusing, there's about 5min of token romance thrown in with Michelle Rodriguez for Vin (both of whom I believe are openly gay in real life), and then Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster, But the other 95% of the movie is pretty much just a romance between Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Not sure if this was intentional or not.

That's Jamie Koeppe. She doesn't even look like Gina Carano. Websites are fucking stupid.

Bollocks to it.

I didn't get around to it while it was in theatres.

Terminator movies should go the route of 'rise of the planet of the apes' type reboot
by Rebel Scumb
Personally I only really like the first film anyways, I know most people prefer T2, and it does have a lot going for it, but T1 is the only one I really care about. Regardless, i think most would agree with each sequel the series goes more of the rails. It was never really designed with franchise in mind. if they want to keep it going, better to start over with the same basic premise and plan it out as a multifilm story. Just my 2 cents

Your thinking of her character in Avatar.
-
Vin is absolutely, without a doubt, straight. I've hung out with him quite a few times via a mutual friend who belonged to the tight group of buddies who came with him from New York. Vin is as straight as they come, but not a macho sexist, he likes and respect women, and to this day has never let his pre-fame friends down. A stand-up guy in my book.
-
That was debunked long, long LONG ago as not being her.
-
After the credits in Fast Five, we find that she has turned up in some FBI surveillance photos in Germany. The file is handed over to The Rock, who will presumably go after her. It is worth noting that Han was last seen in Germany at the end of Fast Five./p I would like to see The Rock end up as part of Doms crew. I kind of like the idea that the whole cult 'o Dom thing is so much damned fun that feds just keep ending up getting caught up in it.
-
Cool. It wouldn't bother me if he was regardless, but it was just what I'd heard. Glad to here he is a very decent guy though, he certainly comes across that way in interviews and stuff, and I like that he seems to be very in touch with his geek fanbase, and has gone back to the F&F and Riddick franchises as well. I've heard apparently he's really big into gaming as well.

I'm curious whether Lin will eventually do a F&F movie set after Tokyo Drift (which chronologically goes after FF4 & FF5)
by Rebel Scumb
I didn't discover this until I watched them all a few weeks ago, but Fast&Furious (film4) and Fast 5 actually take place before Tokyo Drift (film3). apparently Justin Lin's early film Better Luck Tomorrow unofficially takes place in the F&F universe and Han is supposed to be the same character from Better Luck Tomorrow.

Don't know if he's straight, but he's at least bi. I was working on the animation "Hannibal" project with him and went to his house for a meeting. He was a terrific, laid-back, non-pretentious guy, quite creative, hugely charismatic, very very smart. And I met his baby-mama, a drop dead gorgeous Mayan chick who made mind-blowing guacamole dip. Daaaaaamn she was hot. And very quiet. But the air between them CRACKLED with sexual energy, and there was no doubt that she was a hellcat in the sack. None at all. I have a great (but unfortunately slightly blurry) photo of Vin and my daughter posing together, one of my favorites. And my daughter has great Gaydar, and in her opinion, Vin likes the ladies.
-
Not just because we want to see hot chicks, but it really is a bit inconvenient to have to look these people up. Yes, I am lazy - but so are you!
-
Funny you should mention the Hannibal project, I was just discussing the actual historical Hannibal campaign with a friend the other day, and she was mentioning that it surprised her it had never really been done justice as a hollywood movie, given how it has all the makings of a great cinematic epic, and that reminded me that Vin Diesel had had that pet project for a really long time and it got me wondering if it was still in the works. So it's being done as an animation? That's really cool. Is there any ETA for when it's to be completed? Yeah pretty much everything I've heard about Vin Diesel is how you described: non-pretentious and laid back, real person type. Which is refreshing to hear since so many celebrities seem to be vapid and uptight and generally phony in their every day lives, it's always reassuring to hear about the ones who don't play the hollywood game.

Anyways yeah from people I know in the industry Vin's straight but he is definitely gay-friendly since his brother's a gay transvestite. They are close and that explains why he's cool with gays unlike some idiots trying to act thug and hating on the queers.

Hadn't heard this term before, I didn't realize what you were getting at before Majestic It was just an honest mistake on my part, I'm against bigorty of any kind, was just operating with incorrect info about Vin Diesel, but as stated I'm not predjudiced in regards to gay/straight/bi anymore than I am about race/ethnicity (which is not at all). Anyways, apologies if my original comment came across otherwise.
