I personally own the Desplat and Shore Twilight scores, and they're a fuckton better than the movies they were written for. Hell, a good 65% or more of Jerry Goldsmith's entire filmography were AWFUL movies, and yet Goldsmith was always knocking out fantastic scores for garbage like 100 Rifles, The Swarm and Supergirl. Hell, a good score for a bad movie is like a reward cookie for sitting through the movie.

The movie is typically generic 80's fantasy movie crap, but Horner's score is fucking PHENOMENAL. For years, I listened to that album and imagined this spectacular space epic in my mind, but when I finally rented the film on Netflix a few years back...eeeeeesh, what a turkey. Also John Williams' Heartbeeps (never saw the movie, but, honestly...do I *need* to?).
