Here's 20 Minutes Of Behind-The-Scenes AVENGERS Footage!
Nordling here.
I'm not watching these - at this point, so close to release, I think I'm done with AVENGERS stuff until I see the movie. That said, reading the tweets of reviewers lucky enough to see it yesterday has been tremendously exciting. It's gotten almost universal praise from reviewers that I trust, including our own Mr. Beaks. So, yeah, I'm hyped.
Anyway, here's almost 20 minutes of behind-the-scenes on AVENGERS, and that score you hear is Alan Silvestri's music for the movie. Thanks to Trailer Addict for posting these. I'm tagging this as spoiler in case some of you want to wait until release as well.

I just couldn't resist. The temptation was....so intense. I feel so cheap.
-
Avengers, FUCK YEAH!!!
-
...is often the best thing about a lot of films these days. But The Avengers [Assemble?] looks really f*****g good.
-
Be more interesting to hear what what's actually going on. I assume they covered it up to avoid giving anything about the movie away.
-
You Yanks are gonna have a nightmare avoiding spoilers for a week or so. Not from me I hasten to add.
-
Silvestri is finished. It's clear he has completely run out of ideas. I'd rather hear John Powell and his ghostwriters have a go at this. There's still a few weeks to replace this uninspired garbage by Silvestri.
-
I don't see any video? Possibly as I'm in the UK?
-
There is a Captain America stuntman doing some pretty impressive free running on the ground.

One last time....Avengers premiere Twitter reviews from last night...
by Quake II
Here are just a handful of early Twitter responses to The Avengers, from some of the biggest movie blogger names around the Interwebz (via Comic Book Movie): “Absolutely loved THE AVENGERS. Was smiling from beginning to end. If you’re a Marvel fan you’re going to lose your shit in the theater…Also, the two things that made #THEAVENGERS amazing: the Hulk and the humor. Joss Whedon gets a 10 out of 10 on both of those.” Steve Weintraub “THE AVENGERS. Finally, a Marvel film with a rousing finish. I’ll deal with the first two acts in my review… And that third act is more than enough to make THE AVENGERS the best Marvel movie yet.” Jeremy Smith “The Avengers is pretty epic. There is probably more action in this film’s climax than all the other Marvel movie [sic] combines!… I have a lot of nitpicks in the first half. But second half is pretty solid.” Peter Sciretta “That’ll do, Joss, that’ll do… Btw, avoid THE AVENGERS in 3D. Worthless. See it 2D… AVENGERS is good enough to make me forgive IRON MAN 2.” Devin Faraci “The Avengers – Epic. EPIC! Everyone fights everyone, but it does deliver. Marvel’s movies get better every single one. Hulk! HULK!!… Some good shots, but overall the 3D is meh as usual.” Alex Billington “Not a false note. Innovative. BRUTAL. And goddamn funny. Hype = believe it. #Avengers… It’s the bomb. I could not possibly say enough.” Josh Dickey

to watch these.....holding out to see it in the movies unspoiled.
-
jumping around, playing make-believe, making us care for something that is not real. Pretty darn awesome (: Not saying they don't deserve a nice pay check, but when I read of how much they get and then watch stuff like this...make me think, you know? (:
-
That is the only way this can get any cooler than this. This looks really promising.
-
Animatronic Hulk would be waaay cooler....

@darthpigman john powels score for X-3 was the best thing about the movie.
by TheAwareness
I loved angels theme when he burst off the operating table and launched himself out the window,i got a real "superman" vibe from that bit, also the music during the fight at jeans old house was nice as well.
-
And for once, I will be happy to see Captain America unmask. The suit is growing on me, and looks great in action, but that mask is horrible. It looks like he can't even see properly out of it. I keep wanting to adjust it for the poor boy. No-one else seems to have mentioned the possibility of HULK COCK!!!

always fascinated to see the casual moments vs. the staged.

But dammit I want to see this even more! Just seeing the scope and scale of this has me excited. And the fact everyone looks like they are having fun, I really hope that carries through to the final product.

I've already forgotten about Edward Norton. I really wonder if he would have gelled with the cast as well as Mark looks like he is.

he is having fun for a change. Looks good.

I'm beyond stoked for this movie, and can't seem to steer away from anything Avengers related, be it images, domestic and international trailers, but I couldn't bring myself to watch this. 20 minutes of ' b roll' scenes, even if it's garbage, just continues to give too much away. This is the kind of movie that should be enjoyed with some air of mystique still attached. Here's hoping the trailers and everything else haven't let any awesome cats out of some premature bags.

Here's a bunch of spoilers from last night. A guy from gamefaqs was there last night, won the epix contest.
by ajt2111
Chiutari at the aliens Thor and Hulk fight. Coulson dies. Thanos is shown, not alluded to, but actually shown midway through the end credits. Banner can basically change at will after his first change. The big dragon thing is just a chituari creation, its not fin fang foom. The Avengers all live. No Hawkeye death or anything. Jawkeye and widow actually get a decent amount of screen time. Thor gets back to earth using dark matter or something. Its a throwaway explanation, mentioned by Loki. No Jane, but she is asked about by Thor. Thor also goes at it with Iron Man and Cap, but we already knew this. There are a bunch of other things. The guy won the epix contest and was able to go. He seems totally legit. Go check out the gamefaqs comic and graphic novel board.

Sounds like he's trying to give it a little bit of a james bond vibe. Well, at least he's trying something new, only taken him the better part of a decade.

Stark seems to be spending a lot of time with the liquid courage...
by gotilk
hope they play that up a bit here.
-
Awesome!! Can't wait to see it. I'm hoping I can see it here in Japan about the same time it opens in America!!
-
Hey, umm... Hollywood.... No matter how much a director bitches and complains.... Commit TO 3D or DO NOT DO IT!!! NO MORE CONVERSIONS!!! I know this is going to be amazing, and I will see it in 3d, more to just support the innovation of 3d itself, but I'll re-watch it in 2d. STOP IT! 3D is great and you're ruining it with conversions. Knock it off!!

Wow, Cap America's stuntman may actually be Captain America
by Bass Ackwards
Had to watch some of the other videos after reading the comments and wow, between the window stunt and just watching him athletically bound over cars, that guy must actually be jacked up on super serum.
-
Gonna save the rest for after i see the movie... wonder if I should call out sick...
-
When he gets blown out of that window looked like THAT SHIT HAD TO HURT. How did he do that? I mean, it looked like something that could kill you if everything goes RIGHT, let alone if something goes wrong. Then the bounding over the cars? What are they not telling us? Hats off to that guy(s).

I tried explaining what exactly is going on with this film to my girlfriend (possible spoilers, last-minute scene shooting, etc.), and she looked at me as if I as speaking Russian. But that's probably because I explained it all in Cantonese.

Nothing beats PROMETHEUS. I hope.
-
There is a spudly looking guy chatting with Feige and whedon. he puts his hands across his moobs like he is cupping them, and does a jiggling motion. who wants to bet the conversation was along the lines of: So, Joss, we are digging the dailies, and think you are doing a great job. Just one small thing tho. well, *chuckle* two. and not small, either, hehe. We haven't seen the dailies from the Scarlet fight scene where her boobs jiggle. Can you shoot that one before the weekend. Not that my wife is away or anything*

by Wcwlkr
I'm beyond pumped for this movie!
-
ironically who knows if the edited version in the movie will have the same impact. sometimes the way they cut that shit makes it look more 'fake' than it actually was.
-
agree on the Cap stunt guy- they don't pay him enough. Also, Hiddleston looks like the coolest guy in the world to hang out with .
