UPDATED WITH WINNERS!!! Ride Off Into The Sunset With Your Own Copy Of WAR HORSE On Blu-ray!!

The Kidd here...
What a remarkable horse and what a magnificent movie. It's no mistake that WAR HORSE was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, as Steven Spielberg added yet another quality film to his repertoire. It just so happens I've got a chance for you to add it to your collection as well.
I've got THREE Four-Disc Combo Packs of WAR HORSE, which will give you the film on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy, and, with a little bit of random luck, one of them can be yours.
In addition, out of those three, one of them is also going to be accompanied by the book War Horse: The Making of the Motion Picture.

Worth playing for...? Here's how you take your chance at taking one of these home...
Starting at 12:01 a.m. EST on Thursday, April 5 and going all the way to 11:59 p.m. EST, three different times have been designated by me - two for just Combo Packs and one for a Combo Pack and the book. If your email lands closest to one of those times, you're a winner.
Send your full name and mailing address to Contests@AintItCool.com with the following subject line exactly (in all CAPS with THREE exclamation points):
WHAT A REMARKABLE HORSE!!!
No name or address means no entry, so don't forget such vital information, if you want a real shot at winning.
Winners will be posted on the site once results have been decided.
One entry per person. This contest is open to U.S. residents only.
UPDATE: One of these winners actually came down to a matter of seconds deciding between them and the next closest entry. That's how it goes. In the end, three random times were selected (4:16 a.m., 12:19 p.m., and 11:37 p.m., all EST).
After checking the time stamps, these were the three winners:
John Baumgartner - 3:54:24 a.m.
Christian Powell - 12:09:47 p.m.
Amanda Paschall - 11:42:46 p.m.
John and Christian have WAR HORSE Combo Packs heading their way, while Amanda is getting the Combo Pack and the book, too.
Thanks to everyone who took their best shot and participating, and congrats to our three winners.
Thanks once again to Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Newmarket Press for setting this up.

Am I Missing Something?

Loved War Horse. So damn good. I'm in Minnesota so I'll have to plan my emails accordingly.. Thanks Billy!
-
WAR HORSE was a cinematic sleeping pill.
-
I'm not sure if it was to give it an old film effect, but the blue screening used was awful. It made it look like a 50's western sort of. I think its becoming very common to use blue screens to prevent building sets or filming on location. I think it looks cheap. The movie itself wasn't too bad, but I got distracted everytime there was a closeup that had a fake background.

even if she looked like a horse! :o)

I'd rather watch HBO's Luck for my horse fix.

Remember, times were hard during World War 1 and sometimes people had to make very difficult decisions about what they were going to eat....
-
Luck was cancelled. Didnt you get the memo?
-
I just came back form buying this...oh well..glad to have it. I was surprised by this one. Loved it :)
-
I heard decidedly mixed things from people I know who saw it. A couple thought it was pretty good, though a few others I know thought it was boring and terrible. From what I gather, it's one of the lesser Spielberg efforts, an unfortunate trend as of late, right along with Tintin.

Is this is Mr.Hands docu/drama we've been waiting so long for?
by DanielnocharismaCraig
Woohoo! Can't wait for the initial thrust from Superstud into Kenneth Pinyan's colon area in glorious HD. And the grunts and screams coming from Mr.Hands through my surround sound will be absolutely glorious.

If you didn't like war horse, why click on the link? And yes it looked like a 50's western flick, that was the point, and I ate that shit up with a fucking spoon. Throw back to John Ford, motherfuckers. And there was very little GREEN SCREEN going on. For the majority Speilberg shot on-location, and used mostly practical effects. Do your research. Everyone is so cynical these days, everything must be over-the-top stylized bullshit. War Horse is a prime reason why I go to the movies. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000406/

Yes its good. No you should not listen to your friends opinions. No its not an unfortunate trend. People just forgot what great movies are all about. See the fucking movie. I will defend War Horse for as long as it takes.
-
Agreed...that was intentional..and it was awesome.
-
Great fucking film

The part with the bolt-cutters made me think of 'Enemy Ace - War Idyll' (a great read if you've not seen it), which does a take on the famous Christmas Truce at Flanders in 1914...

. . . he said this was ok, at best, and kind of like a retelling of 'Lassie, Come Home."

A Sure Sign of a CRAP Film is to just Look for SPIELBERG's name on it.

Lucas == Spielberg == Dumpster

You know the terrible war movies that were made strictly for awards season. I hated this movie so much.

Some asshole who claims to hate the movie (but probably never saw it) will win this

Ah, Aint it Cool.

It was wonderful.

i never would have thought,Lucas and the berg would fall so hard, but i guess when u have so much money 2 count, and u have 2 devote so much time "watching" and waiting on the people who count it for u(unless your someone like Sean 33d Connery who doesn't miss a cent due to how meticulously anal he is about his "ducats"),your priority's may begin 2 change.
