On the bright side, at least he doesn't want to be in it... yet.
I'm not going to say Mark Harmon's 1987 comedy about a teacher forced to teach a bunch of misfits during the summer months is a classic... but, if there is some insistence on remaking it, it sure does deserve a better fate than being put in the hands of Adam Sandler.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Sandler's banner Happy Madison is in talks with Paramount to produce the planned remake that's been in the works in a couple different iterations since 2005 - one involving Jordan Kerner, another Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci.
I don't think we'll be getting Chainsaw and Dave being granted a screening of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE in class this time around... Someone's wish is now bound to be a viewing of BILLY MADISON. Shabba-dee-doo!!
