Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
I know what day it is, but I swear this is not a photoshopped gag picture. While Sir Alec Guinness, Maureen O’Hara and Fidel Castro aren’t exactly the most likely trio, this is a legit picture.
Guinness and O’Hara co-starred in a nifty common-man-in-over-his-head espionage flick called Our Man In Havana, directed by The Third Man’s Carol Reed. This 1959 movie is a bit obscure, but if you dig it up I think you’ll like it. It’s about a British man living and working in Cuba who is asked by the British government to recruit locals to be spies. It’s light, but fluff and things go from bad to worse as this vacuum seller gets caught up in a big lie that puts him and his family in very real danger.
One of the interesting things about the film is that they went on location in Cuba to shoot it, so there’s a very authentic feel to it that you don't get from many films of this time period. Cue this photo, which was taken during filming as Fidel Castro dropped by for a visit.
So, if you ever wanted to see Obi-Wan Kenobi and Fidel Castro standing next to each other, this photo’s for you! Enjoy!

Tomorrow’s pic kinda makes sense when you consider just how damn much young Fidel Castro looks like Liam Neeson.
