Stephen Bochco Developing
Sci-Fi Series Set Three
Million Years In The Future!!

I am – Hercules!!

Veteran writer-producer Stephen Bochco (“Hill Street Blues,” “L.A. Law,” “NYPD Blue,” “Raising The Bar”) has signed for what could be his first science fiction series.

The Hollywood Reporter describes:

The series, set three million years in the future, sees a box of human knowledge unearthed, which in turn unleashes a Darwinian struggle for innovation and survival.

Bochco is not completely new to sci-fi.

In 2004, he wrote and produced “NYPD 2069,” a two-hour Fox pilot starring “Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito (“Once Upon A Time”) and Anna Gunn (“Deadwood”) -- and “The Amazing Spider-Man’s” Annie Parisse (“Rubicon”) and Michael Massee (“FlashForward”) -- as well as Josh Hopkins (“Cougar Town”), Kevin Dunn (“Luck”), Mark Pelligrino (“Lost”) and Danny Pino (“Law & Order SVU”). It was about a cryogenically frozen cop who returns to fighting crime 65 years in the future.

With the "Deer Hunter" team of Michael Cimino and Deric Washburn (!), Bochco wrote Doug Trumbell's 1972 greenhouse-in-space epic "Silent Running."

Bochco subsequently wrote on the '70s sci-fi series "Invisible Man" and "Gemini Man."
