Hawkeye from Hot Toys

Hot Toys is teasing Marvel fans with a new deluxe 1/6 scale figure based on Jeremy Renner's appearance in the new Avengers film. All we’re getting right now is this image, but keep checking back in with us for more updates. The only other figure from the wave that we have any real information on is this Nick Fury that we showed you a awhile ago.

Snake Eyes and Timber from Sideshow Collectibles

G.I. Joe’s silent commando and his most trusted friend enter the 1/6 scale figure realm with a new two-pack. The set features a detailed fabric TAD Gear costume and a full arsenal of weaponry including an Uzi, XCR PDW rifle, MP-SMG, grenade launcher with a multiple grenades, pistol with holster, and a long daito sword with scabbard. His body has 16 points of articulation, two different heads and swappable hands. Timber sports 10 points of articulation and the Sideshow exclusive version comes with an alternate head. This heroic team will ship in September and is available for pre-order here.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation from Hasbro

GIJOECLUB.COM has unveiled the first packaged toy pics from the upcoming sequel. Cobra Commander comes with a snake-themed staff that launches a missile from it’s mouth. Duke comes with an impossibly large rocket launcher that no mortal man could fire accurately. The first wave of figures should begin to hit stores later this month. Hasbro’s website has the full lineup listed.

Back to the Future Hoverboard Toy from Mattel

When Mattel announced their new Back to the Future hoverboard replica, a lot of people glossed over one very important detail. The new life-size prop also comes with a miniature version for your 6-inch action figures. Here are some early looks at the mini-hoverboard. Finally, a hoverboard accessory for my Batman to ride through my make believe Gotham city (i.e. the kitchen)! The replica hoverboard and it's pint-sized buddy will arrive in November or December.

DC Universe All-Stars Revised from Mattel

Mattel had planned to release three new figure waves of its new DC Universe All-Stars line in 2012. Now it seems the 12 new figures have been trimmed down to 4. Entertainment Earth has recently posted two new pics of New 52 Superman and Red Robin, but there's still no new pics for Justice League Batman or Superboy Prime yet. BigBadToyStore.com continues to list wave 1 as a May release, but Entertainment Earth has the set listed to drop in July, so... who knows what's actually going on with the All-Stars line? Whatever the case, the future for highly articulated, well detailed and nicely painted DC Universe 6-inch figures seems hazy.

Marvel Select Ultron from Diamond Select Toys

While this looks to be a finely crafted action figure from the Gentle Giant artists, the coolest thing about this upcoming release is the display base. Wasp and Ant Man look to be taking a relaxing nap in the shadow of Ultron’s villainous robot tyranny. Sweet. Ultron is available for pre-order here and should arrive at your local specialty retailer or comic shop in August.

Universal Monster Minimates from Diamond Select Toys

Lon Chaney and Boris Karloff get immortalized in plastic with a new wave of 2-inch figures. 1925′s Hunchback of Notre Dame will inspire a 4-pack featuring Quasimoto, Phoebus, Esmeralda and a “King of Fools” version of the Hunchback. The other 4-pack is based on 1932′s The Mummy with Im-Ho-Tep, his Sarcophagus, Princess Anck-es-en-Amon and Helen Grosvenor. Both sets will release to specialty stores and comic shops in September. Toys R Us will also sell two-packs featuring The Mummy’s Princess Anck-es-en-Amon with an exclusive figure of Henry Whemple, and a black and white set with Lon Chaney as Quasimodo and Boris Karloff as Im-Ho-Tep.

Darth Vader Version 2.0 from Medicom Toy

Sideshow Collectibles will soon distribute a new updated version of Emperor Palatine’s right hand man. He stands 12.5-inches tall and features a removable helmet, an articulated body, a lightsaber that lights-up, a voice chip that plays 6 quotes from the film randomly, multiple hands and a display base. He’s available for pre-order here and should arrive in July.

Creepshow from Shrunken Head Studios

Back in 1982, two horror heavyweights (George Romero and Stephen King) teamed up for an anthology film called Creepshow. 30 years later Shrunken Head Studios has recreated the creature from the Father’s Day chapter in the 1/6 figure scale. Mr. Grantham features a film accurate sculpt, posable jaw, his three-piece suit, the marble ashtray, 30 points of articulation, and a tray with seven light-up candles perched on top of Sylvia’s severed head. This figure is limited to 400 pieces and is available for pre-order here.

Mars Attacks from Mezco Toyz

Is this a figure based on Tim Burton’s 1996 sci-fi film or the collectible trading card line from fifty years ago? You choose. The figure stands 6-inches tall and comes with a ray gun and helment. He will beam land in December or you can pre-order him here.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes from Hiya Toys

Between Gollum, Caesar and King Kong, Andy Serkis has an impeccable reputation for giving life to memorable CG characters on screen. Hiya Toys will soon bring his chimp turned messiah into the toy realm with this new 5-inch figure. He comes with two different heads, three pairs of hands and some unnamed accessories. He releases in July and available for pre-order here.
