One of the creepiest and most amazing things I've scene on television in the last few years was DESTINATION TRUTH's overnight paranormal investigation within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. By 'overnight investigation' I mean, host/lead investigator Josh Gates and his team were in the real Chernobyl area...specifically an abandoned city Prypiat, I believe...overnight. The episode is available via Netflix if you wanna check it out. Netflix---> search DESTINATION TRUTH ---> Season 3 ---> Episode 4. The ambiance of the place, especially at night when seen through night vision, may well give you very serious heebie-jeebies.
Accordingly, I'm...very interested...in what director Bradley Parker (the Visual Effects Supervisor of LET ME IN and WE OWN N THE NIGHT) and producer/co-writer Oren Peli (the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY films) have in store for us with CHERNOBYL DIARIES. Interested, but also cautious. I don't think any of the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY films have hit their marks, despite each having strong moments. Maybe CHERNOBYL DIARIES will break that trend?
