There's A Reboot Of LEPRECHAUN To Be Found At The End Of The Rainbow!!

The Kidd here...

If you've been sitting around your house for quite some time, muttering to yourself, "Man, I can't wait until they finally decide to reboot LEPRECHAUN," then today is your lucky day.

Lionsgate, in a partnership with WWE Studios, is set to give LEPRECHAUN, the cult series featuring Warwick Davis in the title role, a do-over as part of a two-picture deal, according to Variety. No director, writer or cast is attached at this point, but if they decide to use WWE Superstar Hornswoggle as their way to get some of their talent in on this over a returning Warwick Davis, I'm going to be a little pissed... or about as pissed as anyone can be about a reboot of LEPRECHAUN.

WWE Studios and Lionsgate have partnered up on films before - THE CONDEMNED, starring "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and SEE NO EVIL, starring Kane - neither of which were anything to write home about or watch on purpose, and WWE Studios has continued to find its footing in the film industry, following its model of using wrestlers in starring roles for films that have a limited run in theatres before hitting the bargain bin at Walmart. Last year, Michael Luisi got the nod to head up the WWE's film division, so maybe some new blood will be able to turn things around. They did manage to snag THE DAY from the Toronto International Film Festival, so it's not out of the realm of possibility for WWE Studios to make a good film at some point. Who knows? Maybe it could be LEPRECHAUN... although there's a part of me that wishes they would have jumped right to LEPRECHAUN: IN THE HOOD. I'm sure not enough people saw that one, so a reboot would have gotten the fresh word out.

LEPRECHAUN is probably the last good movie Jennifer Aniston ever starred in. Think she'd make a return, too?
