Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
It’s been a little bit since we’ve run a Star Wars picture, so goddamnit here we go.
The mischievous smile on Sir Alec Guinness’ face when he confidently gives the world its first glimpse at the Jedi mind trick gives us an ocean of information about Old Ben Kenobi’s personality. It’s a simple thing and comes off as relaxed as can be, a stark contrast to the terrified Luke Skywalker who looks like a kid who got caught sneaking a cookie before dinner.
Guinness was a master and even though he wasn’t too thrilled that Star Wars would become his legacy he brought so much to that first movie, really selling the magical mystery of the force.
