Deadline Hollywood has casting news and plot details regarding Joss Whedon’s new movie “In Your Eyes” -- the one he’s making after “Cabin In The Woods,” “The Avengers” and “Much Ado About Nothing”:
[“Cloverfield’s” Michael] Stahl-David stars as Dylan, a boyish-looking man who served time in jail for robbery when he refused to rat on his accomplices. Now, he is living in a trailer in New Mexico. [“Bored To Death’s” Zoe] Kazan stars as Rebecca, an attractive but skinny and slightly awkward woman, who is married to an older doctor and living in Connecticut. The two have a powerful connection, and they can hear and see each other, even though they have never met.
I believe that’s the most detail we’ve gotten on the movie’s plot to date.
There’s no mention in Deadline’s report of Abigail Spencer (“Mad Men”), who told Vulture last month that she too will be appearing in “Eyes.”
Brin Hill (“Ball Don’t Lie”) directs from a screenplay by Whedon, whose pre-“Cabin” screenwriting resume includes “Toy Story,” “Speed,” “Alien Resurrection” and “Serenity.” For TV, Whedon created “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Angel,” “Firefly” and “Dollhouse.” For your computer, he created the musical supervillian saga “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog.”
