Hey folks, Harry here...I kinda can't believe that we have a former citizen of the Soviet Union, directing a film about Abraham Lincoln, as a vampire hunting badass - who looks very likely to decapitate a bunch of vampiric living dead. But then, there's a shot in this thing where Lincoln's horse flips throwing him at the camera - that's just one of those unlikely things that happens to be profoundly beautiful, ironic and discombobulating. I mean. If this is where we are at in the history of cinema... what will the next few decades bring us?
I suppose, in a manner of speaking this latest trend kind of got started with PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and their undead pirates being such a wild and unexpected success for people that had no idea what they were talking about... but now... now we have young Lincoln walloping a tree with a single blow of his mighty axe. Don't you wish you could watch this with Henry Fonda?
Here we go... I got sent this in a leather journal with the Presidential Seal and Abraham Lincoln's initials - embedded in the center of a silver bullet flashdrive. Wonders of the modern promotional world. Then when I went online, I found the piece already up, so here's the embed...
