The Return Of Will Ferrell, Beer Salesman!

Published at:  Feb 06, 2012 12:36:00 PM CST

Beaks here...

A few months ago, Will Ferrell turned up on Wisconsin television selling the sweet, sickening swill that is Old Milwaukee. Now he's back with two new beer ads. The first is a spot for the fictional Scorpion Beer, which is evidently featured in Ferrell's upcoming big-screen telenova, CASA DE MI PADRE (in theaters March 16th). Check it out.

And then there's this new spot for Old Milwaukee, which only aired in Nebraska:

Now go enjoy something cold and refreshing.

Unless you're Adam Sandler....that fucker hasn't been funny since Chris Farley died.

  • about how the minute a comedian starts making films it is an ever diminishing return. The reason I say that is they don't get the movie offers until they have reached the Zenith of their popularity.

And his point in a way affirms my hypothesis...they simply run out of new, funny, ideas and we eventually grow bored of them. They are forced to branch out of they can...

but I'll never watch Adam Sandler in anything...the guy is poison to my eyes since right after his highpoint of Hurlihy boy. Bad actor, not funny.

I've seen it. Because that movie is fucking hilarious. Elf is also a wonderful performance. I won't speak on the others as it comes to opinion, but those two movies are comedy gold...so stop being so fucking "cool and over it" It's okay to admit the guy has been hilarious in the past.

And I didn't even mention his run on SNL.

You people suck the fun out of everything. Hey, here's a crazy idea: if someone puts up some videos of a comedian you don't like, don't fucking watch them!

But no, of course you have to sit through both, miserable all the way, just so you can shit all over them and act superior to anyone who doesn't have your sophisticated-ass comic sensibility.

Do you guys also intentionally go to restaurants and order food you hate, just so you can complain loudly and ruin everyone else's meal? Get hit by a car.

    My favorite Ferrell

    by wrath_of_fett

I always hated Will Ferrell and never understood why anyone thought he was funny.

Then he did that skit after 9/11 about a businessman going to work in a red white and blue diaper. When people complained, he freaked the fuck out and told them not to impede his patriotism. Not only hilarious, but completely fucking accurate!

Then there was the cow bell skit. Just simple, beautiful, and abso-fucking-lutely hilarious!

By that point I was starting to pay attention and hoping he was finding out how to do comedy the right way instead of just running around naked and mugging at the camera like a retarded chimp.

Once he broke into films, unfortunately, it was the same old schtick for the most part. Although I did like that basketball one. Semi-Pro, that was it's name.

Then he did Stranger Than Fiction, and just like with Sandler's Punch Drunk Love, I became a fan.

I still think Anchorman is incredibly dumb and so random it's not funny at all. Same with most of his movies. Talladega Nights had one funny scene, when he was praying to baby Jesus in his golden diaper.

Other than that I adore Stepbrothers. BOATS 'N HOS!

    New rule for haters

    by von_trierstein

Whenever you throw up a post shitting on some actor, director, movie, whatever... you then have to provide a counter example of an actor, director, or movie that you hold in high regard.

For example: "Will Ferrell is a shittard because he is popular, but I quite enjoy the catty brit-musings of Russell Brand!"

Or: "Attack the Block was completely unbelievable, because the leader of a gang would never be black in this day and age... for a more realistic view on proper racial dynamics, check out the 1975 film 'Mandingo'."

See, now your getting yourself out there a little bit, putting your supposedly excellent tastes on the table for discussion, rather than just the old 'I hate this, I hate that' routine prevalent in young pussies throughout the past 50 years, justified by nothing but insecurity.

Unless you're just trolling... in which case I admire your dedication.

    by tjcoolguy

I agree. I mean, obviously, the point of telling everyone how much you hate something is to make it clear that you're better than anyone who likes that thing. So the shitters should jump at the chance to not only say what they're better than, but also show us that their tastes are lightyears ahead of ours.

Or, more likely, we'd just see that they have terrible taste and they'll look like jackasses. Either way, I support this idea!
