...with a quick reminder regarding THE AVENGERS Twitter chat which'll ramp up today at 2p.m. Eastern / 11am PT.
Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) joins Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson) alongside AVENGERS movie director Joss Whedon for a chat...that happens on Twitter...hence..."Twitter Chat"!
A few more details per a press release on the matter:
Fans around the world will be able to participate in the Q&A on Twitter by using the @Avengers handle and the #Avengers hashtag. Participating fans will have the opportunity to see a 10-second tease of the 30-second Super Bowl spot that will air during Super Bowl XLVI on February 5 on NBC. They will also have a chance to answer “Avengers” trivia for a chance to win “Avengers” prize packs.
International fans will be able to submit questions for the talent in their native language through a global translation tool provided by Ortsbo.com. The chat will be moderated by Marvel’s @Agent_M.

but we have to leave something for the sequels don't we? ;p I'm guessing we'll see bits and pieces of Tony building Vision throughout Avengers if not in a sequel. Personally I'm more excited for an Avengers 3 if they're able to assemble the entire team.. Ant/Giant-Man, Vision, T'Challa, and Wasp included.

That trailer is at best cliched and standard. Even Scarlet is doing the cliched boring crouched down on one knee pose! The lighting and cinematography seems flat. So what is the big deal..? I need it explained!

no not really. In fact if other movies are any kind of example of this kind of thing, putting in too many characters doesn't really work. Apart from The Magnificent Seven! Too little screen time for any given character for you to give any shit about and therefore what you end up with is a Michael Bay mess! Also it doesn't answer my other question of all the cliched shots in that trailer!

I want to ask Whedon if he'll make every character talk 'hip teenie talk' like in all he other efforts. If Downey's little 'hip' dialogue is anything to go by i think it's a tragic yes.

No one in his work, be it comics tv or movies, talks normally, it's nto as bad as Smallville but it's pretty close.

I love Marvel, grew up on these comics, but there's something not right. In my heart I feel like there's something cheap and generic about this movie. Don't get me wrong, I'll be first in line, but I don't feel any epicness to the trailer. It looks cheap like the two FF movies. I blame marvel studios, they're trying to make these movies as big as possible for as cheap as possible and to me it shows. Warner bros is doing batman on a grand scale, Disney should do the same with the avengers, there's no bigger marvel franchise!

I don't really think this movie will be better than Iron Man 1 or Captain America, but I'm still excited about having all these characters together in one movie. As a lifelong Marvel fan that's where I'm coming from. I do hope that this baby is 2 1/2 hours so they have enough time for the origin story and to give all the characters enough time to shine. Plus the Spider-man movie looks like it will be shit, so I'm pinning all my hopes for this year on the Avengers!
