I'd definitely have to choose the GOP primary over watching an episode of Glee. Don't be crazy.

I Completely Admit to Hating Myself For How Much I Like New Girl

But dammit, the roommates, especially Schmidt and the actor who plays him, make that show worth tuning in for. Sure, Zoey is fucking annoying most of the time, and her character is the worst on the show, but they are getting better with her as it goes. Those three guys and anyone Schmidt interacts with are really funny. And better than Glee. I see the last three minutes of glee every time I DVR new girl....and its truly horrible. I mean that.

I've caught an episode or two of New Girl, and I'll admit I laughed. I agree that it is the supporting cast that really makes the show worth watching.

I watch it and laugh but I disagree that Zooey is the worst character. I would say that that is Nick, who is obnoxiously whiny. I also much preferred the original token black guy rather than the replacement token black guy.

that Southland could produce more than ten episodes a year. It keeps the show so far off of people's radar that it's really incredible it made it this long. I don't know if it's purely a budgetary concern or not, but it's a shame, as is the constant paring down of an extraordinary ensemble cast. It's subtle, it's smart, the characters are complex, and it doesn't pull any punches (bleeps notwithstanding). I really wish it had the room to breathe that it deserves.

I thought that it was odd that they replaced the token black guy after the first episode. I thought that there would have been a lot of good stories from him learning how not to scream at people.

Apparently they were 99.9% sure his other awful awful show Happy Endings would be canceled, but then inexplicably it got renewed so they had to replace him.

This reality TV shit will never end, will it? Fuck. Glad I have movies and the occasional cable show that doesn't suck.
As for The New Girl, Zooey Dashen-whatever is a cutie but I just started watching Psych and I'm afraid that Maggie Lawson takes the adorable girl crown. Now normally I'd crawl over any blonde to get to a dark haired quirky girl but Maggie is cute and a better comedic actor and she doesn't try so hard to be quirky. -
I tried watching the Happy Endings pilot and couldn't stand anymore, I was very supprised that it got a second season.

I'm with you on Key and Peele. Comedy Central has been trying, in vein for years to fill the Dave Chappelle void. They almost succeeded with Mencia, till it was revealed that his shtick was largely plargerized.
Here's hoping the show is good, television is in need of quality sketch comedy. -

Happy Endings had a terrible pilot and second episode, which made me not tune in again... but then my brother wouldn't shut up about it, so I gave it another chance. It's one of the funniest shows on right now.

But the new black guy has grown on me, as has the show in general. I've gone from reluctantly liking it to genuinely enjoying it, the rant at the end about washing towels and sharing underwear cracked me up.

Unfortunate that a lot of people watching probably didn't see it as the episode ran 2 minutes long. "If you guys say you aren't borrowing each other's underpants, you're lying".
