..WITH GUNS! *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*
-
I hope the second half the season is better than the first was.
-
Who cares about this really? This season has been next to terrible, and from what I hear semi-spoiler? They're about to kill the only interesting (imo) character on the show
-
I wonder how many show deaths the breaks are solely responsible for. I know there have been quite a few shows I have watched, then the breaks come and I do not tune back in when the shows return.

Damn it I need my walking dead fix and I need it now!!!!!!!!!!
by Professor_Bedlam
-
but the most recent episode was actually pretty damn good. I hope the second half of the season is as compelling as that episode was.
-
don't wish death on the only capable MEN on the show. I know they don't have that useful degree in Sanskrit that your parents paid for nor are they blessed enough to have a barrista job (or is it a fry tech?) with that degree but hey they put food on the table and kill zombies which is much more important then knowing who Henry Miller was. Of course i wonder just how good an education you actually have when you don't know that the word rednceck and white trash aren't the same thing. You aren't alone in that all the self styled genius around here do the same thing.
-
He's talking to Shane right? If they are starting to get closer to the books, Shane won't be around much longer anyway.
-

maybe in this half of the season, they get a flat tyre
by IWasInJuniorHighDickhead
and the spare is missing....then we get nine episodes set by the roadside where they argue, cry, reminisce about the tyre, form teams to go out in the woods and look for the spare before - in the finale - the ominous music starts and ...boom! Cut to a shot where we see that the spare tyre was on the roof of the RV all along...
-
Can they please get off that farm already? I am so sick of the farm.
-

i love how they are hardcore in every interview saying there is no stalling, all action now, when we all know it will be the same...
by Daniel
slow paced, worst ideas ever, characters doing the actual worst last things any human would do, wasting their time, getting themselves killed or killing each other

This show lost me when they lowered the Asian guy down the well
by Wookie_Weed
I can't get over it. I will never get over it. It was the worst, dumbest, most stupid, idiotic, moronic, fucking dumbest thing anyone has ever done. Ever. There is no way in hell Rick, Shane, and the others would have done it. It was shoehorned in by the writers to create suspense (like we never saw what was coming) and give Glen a reason to feel unloved and underappreciated. So I will only watch the next episode, and then I'm done. Forever. Never again.
-
And then me and my friends stood around the bucket pissed off we can't drink the water in the bucket. Then one of my friends came up with the idea to scoop the shit out of the bucket, then we can drink the water!
-
this season is equally as good as the first. it is not slow, or messy. you lot dont know what you are talking about. i can only assume half the people who are posting here are either 8 or have downs syndrome and have no patience when it comes to drama.
-
are they talking about the season or the series. http://badum-tish.com/ i'm here for the remainder of the series folks.
-
This is the ONLY tv show even worth bitching about. The 12th can't get here fast enough.
-
That's funny :-)

I kind of like it but I wish it had a goal other than survival...
by tangcameo
They need a destination or some small scrap of hope (even if it gets snuffed out) or even a bloody direction to go in. If its just survival then this show just becomes a videogame.

RE: Why the FUCK does America still think the internet stops at their coastline?
by aceattorney
Yes, exactly. Because "America" dictates what your lameass country's censorship laws are.
-
It actually doesn't have to do with "censorship laws" (what does that mean?) and American media somehow being less censored. Nice try. Hulu etc. is not available in Canada and other places not because these countries are less free or something. It's because of advertising and licensing.
-
Glad you don't run the show. Trollolololololololol!!

They had a goal aside from survival. It was Sophia. And Rick blew her brains out.
by Al
In the 2nd half of the season they encounter a different group of survivors which cause some badness for Our Heroes, I'm just worried they're gonna do a different version of The Governor, or a Governor-ish story, before they actually get TO the Governor. It would dilute the impact because Rick & Co. really didn't meet any seriously Bad Dudes until they met the Governor in the comic. Maybe they're adapting the cannibals storyline from way later in the book, I'd be fine with that. But the "larger groups of people are terrible" doesn't really pop up in the book until the Governor shows up. Ah, I'm just hoping they get to the Prison soon. But that'll probably be the final shot of S2 anyway.
-
So. So very, very hot. Please let her last for a very long time. So very hot. And Zombies! So, yeah, I'll watch this show for awhile even if it does lull the hell outta you, but the book does that too.
-
It was done by December. December ain't sweeps, no point burning episodes off and it tends to get wonky with TV viewing by the end of the month anyway. January on Sundays Walking Dead would just get killed by football every weekend. Aside from maybe tonight, but the Superbowl is next week so what's the point of showing one episode? Therefore, starts Feb 12th.

He's talking to the other group of survivors that stumble apon him and Herschel while they are talking in the saloon.
by Cash907
And this second half is going to suck as much if not more balls than the first half.
-
Totally agree, it was moronic

this debacle will leave a permanent taint on its supporters
by altoandando
best to back away now, you're not going to want to be known as the schmuck who gave this steaming pile a pass in 10 years.
-
Shane has outstayed his welcome.
-
I'm right there with ya. The snippet of Carl with his gun drawn gave me goosebumps. I hope thats what was being hinted at. I hate Shane. That being said i hope they get a move on and find their new home and bump into the Govnah!!! Maybe michonne can come along and give rick a hand with that. HA! seriously tho, can't wait.

Share tearing the fuck off the door and shooting the zombies was better than in the comic
by Al
Shane was quite dead by that point, and the zombies escaped the barn by chance more than anything. It was a fluke. Shane around makes the dramatic choice of basically executing the zombies infront of everyone almost just out of spite and anger. That's why keeping Shane around is a good dramatic choice, he's the unpredictable X-Factor. Yet, on the flipside, if Shane sticks around and keeps making the default tough choices, it holds Rick back from being the primo badass he turns out to be. Like, when they end up at the prison, Rick does some dark and terrible things. Which is shocking. If Shane is still around, you can see Shane doing that stuff and nobody bats an eye. So I'm sort of 50/50 on keeping Shane around. Carl shooting him would be great, but Shane adds an unpredictable element to being in the mix. but it holds back the development of Rick's character and turn as leader.

Shane always walks like a monkey, or looks like he only took half a shit.
by halowiscious
Seriously. Watch the last four episodes. It looks like he has a really itchy ass, or has something stuck in his eye, or is concentrating hard, like he's trying to keep that second half of his last loaf from turtling.
-
Jan. 29, 2012, 7:24 p.m. CST
if not, we'll just take everything they have and leave them for dead.
by halowiscious
-
seriously dude, you're a writer, you can't come up with more imaginative handles?
-
watch the viewer numbers plummet when it returns in feb.
-
Season open they lose a child on the run and end up on a farm. Then half a dozen episodes of them doing practically nothing at the farm. Then they kill the child after it becomes a zombie. This show sucks. It has no forward momentum to the story, barely anything happens in almost every episode. Its like one of those procedural shows where they have an overall season story, then individual episode stories, and the season starts and ends on the overall story, except in TWD, there is practically no individual storys and you only get the overall story at the front and end, so its a whole bunch of nothing in between.
-
That's what you need to understand it. Rick is Jack. sawyer and Locke were put in a blender and split up between Shane, Daryl and Dale. Sophia is undead Walt (ie, they had to write her out because of a growth spurt). Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the show. But the bottom line is that the network is less interested I reproducing the comic book and more in the high concept of taking a hit ABC series and combining it with the zombie genre.

But Herc said Darbont was responsible for the season so far
by OutsideChance
...so if you haven't liked the season so far, it makes no sense to blame it on the firing of Darabont

Darabont got the boot when they were already shooting, so scripts / grand story arc was probably done
by Al
Maybe not for the whole damn thing, but it's not as if he got canned and then they started writing S2. They were knee-deep into production it at that time.
-
What a fucking joke this series has become.
-
This show has always been good, its ratings are not going down( ther're doing a third season assholes!) and most people are looking forward to the second half of season 2!! As for Darabont, yes he's gone, and has been for sometime, so deal with it, and fucking quit harping on it. Yes, I liked what he did with the show and enjoyed his films, like the Mist. Yes, he brought many actors from that film onto the Walking Dead, and he should be thanked for that, but the comic is where it's at and they have been doing a nice job adapting it for TV. People are not going to tire of the show that easily, because they're are not too many shows about Zombies. A show that takes from Survival of the Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 gets major points in my book.
-
I guarantee. No, I won't tell you how I know, I will simply tease the crap out of you when it happens. Yup, they'll shoot a few eps for S3 and they will go unaired. You can buy the DVD set in order to see them. But as to your clear mental illness telling people who do not like this show to F-off, get some help for that. You wouldn't do that in person, or at least if you did you'd get open palmed bitch slapped for it, so get help little mister. Also looks like the "haters" (god, are you like 5 years old using that term?) far outnumber the, umn, likers?
-
Dude, you guys are at each others throats all the time. I get angry having to listen to your bad mouths, and that is why I say what I say. You say most people don't like the show, and your right when it comes to this site, but not the rest of us. AICN is not god, and neither are you. The show is doing well and hopefully will continue to do so. Think about this! If this show wasn't around, what would you have to talk about?
-
I agree that the show has been damned slow thus far and has only given us a taste of what we want it to be. That said, I am looking forward to the rest of the season and hope that what I see in this trailer portends good stuff. We see in the trailer: 1.) Zombie Prison Guard at fence 2.) Carl firing his pistol 3.) Rick and Shane fighting and more. Kirkman has already said that we WON'T see the Governor this season, but that we WILL get Michonne. We can see that they are going to get away from the farm (finally!) and head out. In the comic, Michonne arrives at the prison with a couple of armless, toothless Zs in tow. Makes sense for the show too. Cross your fingers. So they are leaving the farm, whether by Herschel's insistence or a Z attack. The herd of survivors will have to be thinned as they will add characters at the prison. I see Daryl and Carol just riding off on his Harley. T-Dog might get bit (and wouldn't it be great to get Tyrese as the replacement Diversity - but I am probably dreaming here). I don't see Shane making it into the next season. Odds are he gets it in the neck in the last episode of the season. So, to those that want to pull for the survivors to man up and get on with it, hang on. To the haters, get a life, stop watching the show if you hate it so much. But hey, this IS AMC. They could still pull the rug out from under us, as they did last year with the season ender of The Killing.

there's a difference between "being slow" and going full retard
by altoandando
this show exemplifies that pretty gloriously.
-
Yeah, it's slow and the characters are simpletons and unlikeable and one-note...but FUCK wait for The Governor!
-
Yeah, the show sucks now...but THE GOVERNOR is going to rock!
-
I have written these responses...and all that gets printed is one line from them....?
-
If the writers have screwed up a good comic with good characters...what makes any of you think they're suddenly going to get this Governor character right? Be prepared to be disappointed.
-
i was happy with the end of he last episode, get out of there!
