Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with a pic from Oliver Stone's SAVAGES that's been floating around the net today via this article from EMPIRE. The film's based on the crime novel of the same name by Don Winslow and tells the story two amatuer pot growers (a grad student: Aaron Johnson and an ex-Navy Seal: Taylor Kitsch) who get in over their heads with the Mexican cartel when the cartel steals their shared girlfriend "O" (Blake Lively). The plot feels more like a soap opera with drugs, but as Kitsch told EMPIRE it's more of "PULP FICTION meets GOODFELLAS."
The film boasts an incredible cast with Taylor Kitsch (JOHN CARTER), Aaron Johnson (KICK ASS), Blake Lively (GREEN LANTERN), Uma Thurman (BATMAN AND ROBIN), Salma Hayek (TRAFFIC), Trevor Donovan (SURROGATES), John Travolta (GREASE), Emile Hirsch (SPEED RACER), Benicio Del Toro (FEAR AND LOATHING), and Joel David Moore (AVATAR) and is set to be released September 28th.
Here's hoping the film's more PULP FICTION than BE COOL with Thurman and Travolta onboard. The pic below is "O" with (as you might have guessed) a member of the Mexican Cartel.
