Here's The Duplass's JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME trailer

Published at:  Jan 20, 2012 3:22:11 PM CST

Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with what I believe is the first trailer for Jason Segel's JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME. I for one am a massive fan of the guy and think he picks and chooses his projects incredibly well. That said, I haven't seen the guy in any real dramatic capacity since FREAKS AND GEEKS. It looks like he's teamed up with the Duplass Brothers and from the look of the trailer, hit some sort of an actor's sweet spot. In all fairness it is just a trailer, but judging by what the Duplass guys did with Jonah Hill on CYRUS, I'm pretty damn anxious to see what they've got on their hands here.

Here's a synopsis of the film:

"Dispatched from his basement room on an errand for his mother, slacker Jeff might discover his destiny (finally) when he spends the day with his brother as he tracks his possibly adulterous wife."

And here we are with the trailer:

So there we have it, a nice taste of what Segel's been cooking up with Mark and Jay Duplass. The film stars (obviously) Jason Segel, Ed Helms, Susan Sarandon, and Judy Greer and hits theaters March 16th. What do you guys think?

So great to see Jason working with the Muppets again. I can't believe they churned out a sequel so quickly. .... Oh wait that's Judy Greer .. never mind.

    Looks good though!

And I'm sure that JAson Segel is a nice guy...

    by derlanghaarige

...but something makes me want to punch him, whenever I see him. Nothing personal. It's just your whiny on-screen persona.

    Love this movie

    by capone

This is a wonderful little film full of small surprises from everyone in it. But the biggest surprise of the them all is that Rae Dawn Chong is in it, looking a little older, but still lovely and doing great work in this movie.

  • I keep meaning to watch it, but get sidetracked by this that and the other. I enjoyed Cyrus, but didn't it was the same guys as The Puffy Chair. netflix has been pushing it on me hard for like 2 months. Definitely interested in seeing this, so I'm gonna have to get around to it. Be well-versed and all that...

Looks like an endearing little film

The Duplass bros have some really quality output, and their strength lays in their writing. I'm a bit dismayed to see more extensive use of that mumblecore 'quick zoom-in, quick zoom-out' auto focus-y thing that permeates all of their movies. I find it annoying. But thats pretty much the only fault I can find in their work.

This is a lot more commercial than any of their other films

    by garbageman33

I think critics may even say that it's hard to tell it's a Duplass Brothers movie. But like I said earlier, I really dug it.

    Segel is a bore

    by thot

His milquetoast, sloth-like performances are painful to watch. His pathetic, whiny character in Sarah Marshall was coma inducing.

    by gkhaikin

Saw this at a test screening last year and really liked it a lot. Susan Sarandon's story line in this is fantastic, Segal was great but that is what people will be talking about. Mark Duplass literally sat right next to me too. Pretty cool.
