Raising Hope and Justified tonight. 2 great shows for very different reasons. Love Elmore, and intelligent comedy.

... I couldn't help but laugh out loud when she jumped up on the hood of a car, then down onto the pavement, and then shot a guy... all while wearing rediculously high healed boots! ABSURD! She looked hot doing it, but it took me way out of the episode. Here's to hoping that they stop doing dumb shite like that.

I'm dying to catch on to that show but I haven't seen any of the first two seasons. Same goes for "Archer," which has been absolutely hilarious when I've seen it. Come on, FX, throw a guy a bone. I'm on the "New Girl" wagon. I've harbored a boy-crush on Zooey for years, but honestly, I think shes the weakest part of the show. Its the male roommates that keep me tuning in. They're hilarious. And having it followed by "Raising Hope" doesn't hurt. "Storage Wars" is one of my guilty DVR pleasures. I tape it every Tuesday and then catch it in my downtime later on in the week. No idea why I find it so entertaining.

I am stunned that such a dull show could top the ratings, but I'm completely incredulous that TWO of those shows could garner the highest ratings. Who the heck watches that garbage? Personally, I don't know anyone with even an average intellect who watches those shows. Obviously, SOMEONE is watching NCIS on Tuesdays. Who is it?

That is the beauty of television, it offers different shows for different tastes. Insulting the intelligence of an entire show's viewing audience offers nothing to the debate. One could probably say that the same audience that likes CSI and any other procedural crime drama are the people keeping it atop the ratings. Spend a little less time on shows you hate, and more on those you like.

I'm not surprised by the fact that some people willingly watch sub-par tv programming. It would be abnormal if that didn't happen. What amazes me is that there could be SO MANY people who watch pablum like NCIS that it would top the ratings. You might be right about CSI devotees being the ones who prop up the NCIS ratings. However, those crime procedural dramas are so far from reality that it puzzles me how people can watch them without laughing. I'm not sure if the networks are dumbing down their programming to match the audience, or if the audience is watching dumb programming simply because there isn't anything else available.
