UPDATE FOR HOUSTON AICN READERS... Houston! Come Embrace THE GREY This Friday With Cast Member Dallas Roberts!
Nordling here.
For those of us in Houston today, if we want to see THE GREY all we have to do is look out the window. Nasty weather today. But hopefully it'll all clear up by Thursday, because at 7:00 PM I'll be hosting a local screening of Joe Carnahan's terrific new film. I have 150 seats to fill with you AICN Houston friends, and I'd like you all to come and see this incredible film, with an amazing performance by Liam Neeson. Also in the film is native Houstonian Dallas Roberts, and he'll be here to talk about his role in the film and participate in an audience Q&A after the film!
I don't have the location of the screening yet, but I will before the end of the day. But if you want to come, send an email to me at aicnhoustonscreenings@gmail.com titled I WANT TO LIVE OR DIE ON THIS DAY! All other titles will be ignored. Put the names of yourself and the people that you want to attend - no more then 3 additional, please. I'll send the winners their notices on Wednesday night. This screening is overbooked to insure capacity, and if you can't make it, please don't submit. Thursday, 7:00, at a theater here in town that isn't difficult to get to. Got it?
THE GREY really deserves all the superlatives I can throw at it. It's emotional, powerful, action-packed, and hey, it's free if you win. I hope to see you all there.
Nordling, out.
UPDATE - The screening will now be Friday instead of Thursday, at the same time, 7:00 PM At Edwards Grand Palace (though that could change as well). I will send emails to all of those who won tonight, but be aware it has been moved to Friday. If this makes it not possible for you to go, let me know so I can fill those seats.

He's definitely there....

So after today, we're only down, what, 18 inches of rain?
-
Neeson goes to Africa where he is in a severe pileup on a bicycle safari trip. Wounded, he makes his way across the plains, and grabs a cheetah by the tail and uses it as a mace to smash the lion pride that are stalking him.

certain bear trapping skills that make bears like you and those goofy CGI polar bears with headgear in Narnia a nightmare to people like me"

I'll put 100 on Liam. Also, it's kinda great that Liam Neeson, who's been around Hollywood forever, it seems, has over the last couple of years emerged as one of the world's biggest action movie stars, while pushing Sixty. Hollywood; ya' never know....

Haven't met canned_dirty_ape so I can't comment as to whether they are a good person or not, but their recent track record of being a douche is so obvious it is impossible to tell whether they are sincere or not in bashing joe carnahan.

Actually, it was a piece of crap. Very skeptical on this one. Hated Smoking Aces also... But I remain optimistic on this one... Oh, and its not just AICN gushing.. Im hearing good things across the board.
