Entertainment Weekly has some fascinating video of restored STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION footage that'll show up soon on Blu-ray - specifically comparison shots of what the material looked like before this gargantuan HD conversion (more details about that process HERE), and how it appears now. Rather astonishing.

I've never been a huge fan of TNG's generally muted appearance - at least that's how it looked on the television & station I watched it on when the show first aired - so seeing this level of clarity and vibrancy brought to the equation is exciting and has definitely piqued my interest.
A "sampler" disc of TNG Blus containing "Encounter at Farpoint" (the series' two hour pilot), "The Inner Light" (Captain Picard lives the lifetime of another man), and "Sins of the Father" (Klingons!) will hit in a few weeks and is already up for pre-order HERE. Seasonal sets will follow later in the year.
