(1986) as well as an autograph session with Harry at Dark Delacies the the following day. I covered all the details a couple weeks ago which you can find HERE. For more information including ticket purchasing you can go HERE.

Harry Manfredini is one of the "good guys" and an amazing composer whose work is credited with helping the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise become what it has become. Check out the interview and if you're in the LA area next week come to the screening and/or signing. Harry loves hanging out and talking with fans.

helped the franchise become what it has become

    by Ivor Heath

is that a compliment or an insult?

Is the music really all that different from movie to movie?

    by D.Vader

So much so that it requires six different discs instead of 3? I remember thinking the credits theme from Jason Goes to Hell was pretty harsh and annoying. I wouldn't want to hear that again. But I'm wondering how many variations of KiKi-Mah there are to listen to?

    those posters dont match well

    by Bouncy X

so they use the original posters for the first 3 cds but the last 3 have lame photoshop crap? i'll give em credit on making Part 4 very similar but yeah, it doesnt match well. should have used all 6 originals or all 6 redos. but thats a minor, trivial quibble.

    Manfredini is a fraud

    by la_sith

"Ch Ch Ch" comes from the end of Black Sabbath's "Children of the Grave". He likes to pass it off like it was his idea.

    Another box set

    by Baron Von Hugenpannts

Apparently, Friday the 13th box sets are the Evil Dead of a box set re-issued & re-packaged. Seems like there's a new one every year or two.

I like the one that goes: Chi-chi-chi Ah-ah-ah

    by Stegman84

Which one is that? Oh. Right.

First off, the consonant sounds used as "Jason's Theme" are "ki" and "ma": from the words "kill" and "mama/mommy". Second, he got the idea while listening to music by Krzysztof Penderecki...which is about as far removed from Black Sabbath as music could possibly get. If you don't believe me, check out Penderecki's "Polymorphia and Fluorescences". Later.
