Rian Johnson is a gentleman and a scholar, judging from my brief time chatting with him at BNAT, and I can't wait to see his time travel movie LOOPER. It has Bruce Willis in his 857th film this year (that man is a work horse!) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays his... well, that would be spoiling, now, would it?
On Rian Johnson's LOOPER Tumblr page, he's posted what looks like to be a sort of time pod or capsule that will be the impetus for all this traveling. It looks like something Shane Carruth would have dreamed up for PRIMER given a little more budget. By the way, Carruth is also working on LOOPER in some capacity - probably to get the paradoxes right (if such a thing is ever possible to get right). It's enough to give Doc Emmet Brown a headache. Here's the picture, and I have the feeling LOOPER is going to kick all our science fiction-loving asses next September.
