Hey folks, Harry here... We've all been watching a small selection of trailers - over and over and over again. I'm drunk in love with THE HOBBIT trailer still. The DARK KNIGHT RISES trailer is awfully nice. In fact, it's pretty goddamn badass. But eagle eyed viewers have been pointing to a very particular "R" in a style very... how can I say this... um. It looks like the "R" in ROBIN's well known font.
Calm down. That isn't necessarily what's going on. Turns out a fan, by the name of Brandon Di Luca, who was doing extra work on August 6th, 2011 - decided to make up some signs as instructed - and decided to be cheeky and do the "R" in ROGUES like our favorite pissed off trapeze lad's font. He sent me a photo of the signs on the floor at his place taken on August 5th, 2011 - when they were drying.
NOW - since Nolan controls every pixel of the film - did Brandon's independent geek out - actually serve Nolan's narrative. Or did he notice and put in the trailer because he knows it'll just drive everyone crazy with conspiracy theories about the significance of the ROBIN - R. Personally I can't wait for Joseph Gordon Levitt in green tights!
