Paolo Sorrentino's THIS MUST BE THE PLACE is just another road-trip movie about an aging-goth-rocker-turned-Nazi-hunter looking for the man who tortured his father at Auschwitz. Though it received mixed reviews at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, there were some enthusiastic notices that made the film sound like a kind of whacked-out hybrid of PARIS, TEXAS and MUNICH - and of course I want to see that.
The film will receive its North American premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next month. Here's a look.
