John Ary here with a quick look at a few action figure lines that are making headlines this week...

DC Universe from LEGO

New pics surfaced this week of the upcoming DC Super Hero sets from everyone's favorite Danish toy company. We showed off the the Batcave featuring Bruce Wayne, Batman, Robin, Poison Ivy and Bane a few weeks ago. We now have pics of the box art. That will run you $69.99 and is available for preorder here.

The Batmobile and Two-Face Chase features Batman, Two-Face, 2 henchmen and a guard for $49.99. That's up for preorder here.

Superman Vs. Power Armor Lex also includes Wonder Woman for $19.99 and is available here.

Batman and Catwoman take to the streets in the Catcycle City Chase for $12.99. You can pick that up here.

Also larger scale versions of Green Lantern, Batman and Joker will run you $14.99. All of these will release in January.

2012 Batman Legacy Wave 1 from Mattel

Arkham City fans should be happy to see that Nightwing and Harley Quinn will join First Appearance Batman and Classic Catwoman in the first wave of single packed Legacy figures for 2012. Each 6-inch figure comes with a unique display stand and a 10 1/4-inch x 6 3/4-inch poster of a comic book cover in which the character appeared. Those will release in February, but are also available for preorder here.

Left 4 Dead Boomer by NECA

In what could possibly be the grossest action figure pic of the week, NECA has revealed the first in a new line of Left 4 Dead toys. This fully articulated bloated zombie will release in the spring.

American McGee's Alice from Diamond Select Toys

Head down the rabbit hole with this wave of toys based on the new game from EA and Spicy Horse. The assortment of 7-inch-scale figures sculpted by Gentle Giant includes Alice, the Cheshire Cat and a Card Guard. The figures will only be available in specialty stores and comic shops. Plus Diamond Select has made a special variant figure of Alice in Hysteria mode for Diamond Comics Distributors' Previews catalog. All of these will release in the summer.

2012 Marvel Legends Wave 1 from Hasbro

Welcome back Marvel Legends. We missed you. Commander Steve Rogers, Extremis Iron Man, Marvel's Klaw, Ghost Rider, Heroic Age Thor, Constrictor, and the X-Men's Hope Summers will each include a piece of the Terrax Build-A-Figure. These should hit retail in March and are up for preorder here.

And finally, I hate to leave this week's toy column on a sour note, but I feel its my duty to warn you about crummy action figures. Jazwares' latest round of 4-inch Mortal Kombat toys are not pretty. Here's my review of Sub-Zero...

That's it this week. For more toy updates and action figure reviews, you can follow me on ArticulationTimes.com, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. Keep collecting!
