Steven Spielberg’s “Terra Nova” tonight wraps up its first and I expect final season tonight. I’ve decided it’s as bad as “Jurassic Park” and “The Lost World” are good.
Many have compared “Terra Nova” to Amblin Entertainment’s 1994 family sci-fi drama “Earth 2.” In my view, “Terra Nova” is not fit to lick “Earth 2’s” testes.

NBC tonight launches a nightly gameshow titled “Who’s Still Standing,” a trivia contest that sends its losers down a trap door. I saw it and I have three notes:
1) The contest’s first challenger is smart and demonstrated a truly impressive knack for trivia. Subsequent challengers tend to be curiously lame.
2) I do not envision for this series a life as long as that enjoyed by “Deal Or No Deal.” To explain why, I would point to my third note:
3) When a player loses, he or she enjoys a little post-loss chitchat with the show’s host before he or she plummets. Terrible idea. Were I running “Who’s Still Standing,” the losers would plummet beneath the show’s stage the moment they uttered the losing answer. I would model their exits after the Bridge of Death and the Gorge of Eternal Peril:

Last week’s bikini-happy return of “Fear Factor” was big for NBC last Monday. I suspect it beat everything on the network last week save football and the Jimmy Fallon-hosted “Saturday Night Live”:
