Herc’s Thursday TV Talkback!! Drone On Here About X FACTOR, BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD, BONES, MENTALIST, BURN, SUNNY, CHARLIE BROWN And More!!
ABC trots out "A Charlie Brown Christmas" again at 8 p.m.
Beavis and Butt-Head tonight visit a homesteading community in the year 1832.
The Mentalist tonight loses his memory – or maybe just pretends to lose his memory to fight crime. Robin Tunney is hot stuff.
“It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia,” which I’m assured is more than 600 times funnier than FX’s superb “Louie” (though “Sunny” doesn’t get quite as much hoity-toidy Emmy recognition as “Louie”), airs its season finale tonight.
“The Office” and “Parks and Recreation” are on hiatus until at least January, but here are some deleted scenes from previous weeks to keep us warm over the long winter months:

Some of the office deleted scenes are way funnier than what was in the episodes...

odd.

I like that Sunny has tried some different things this season
by Truxton Spangler
I also like Louie. Burn Notice also airs its season finale tonight. Jere Burns has helped draw some attention away from the monotony. But, as in all USA shows, no matter how they try to puff up the stakes and create tension, the cliffhangers always ring hollow. Just like most regular network TV.
-
Swamp People can't come back soon enough.
-
There are new episodes of Rules Of Engagement, Bones, Person Of Interest, The Mentalist, and Prime Suspect. Then there is Katie Couric copying BabaWawa with her "The Year With Katie Couric" which may actually be a nice look back at the year that was. AMC is running the original "Miracle On 34th Street" which has been aired about 5 other times on other channels since American Thanksgiving but is still a timeless treasure and slowly becoming the new "It's A Wonderful Life". As well you could support your local Public Broadcasting station who are nearing the end of their latest Pledge drive with their "Thursday is Viewer's Choice Night" to see what many will ignore the rest of the year as too cultured. Or tonight could be the night to clear the DVR of stuff you have been meaning to watch all season long. So there is stuff on TV that is new and some that is good. The choice is as always your to make.
-
Netflix currently has The Stuff on instant queu. Now there is an 80's "classic".
-
Horrible news, as now Howard will devote hours of each radio show to this new endeavor. Fuck.
-
With the exception of the hurricane episode, what the hell is going on this season?
-
Hope the show gets renewed for another season!
-
Few People have Money to spend This Year and Some People have NO Money to spend at All! I sorry if I am attacking Anyone's Favorite Time of Year but Sadly That is The Hard Truth of 2011.
-
There are one two mild "misses" (Frank's Brother), but not one really "bad" episode, in my opinion, and I reserve judgement on last weeks episode until seeing the conclusion, but, on top of all that, there are multiple undeniably classic episodes this season, of which I could not have enjoyed more. "The Gang Gets Trapped" being, of course, the highlight, followed by "Frank's Pretty Woman" "Frank Reynolds Little Beauties" "CharDee MacDennis" "How Mac Got Fat" "Jersey Shore" and "ThunderGun Express" are all examples of some of my favorite episodes they've ever done. And Dennis Reynolds has solidified himself as one of the funniest and most complicated characters on tv, and Glenn Howerton one of the funniest and most dedicated actors. He blew my mind this season with the psychological implications of some of the things Dennis says and does. Its brilliance. RUM HAM!
-
The MS airband on last week's The Office nearly killed me. And of course, I can't go anywhere this week w/o hearing Steamroller, and remembering.
-
It's overtaken every other show to become the most consistently entertaining comedy on Thursday night. Nick Kroll is a comic god.
-
Yeah, it's a rerun, but Community is great for multiple viewings. Also it would be nice for a rerun get get decent ratings. I think it's supposed to be Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas, which was a great one.
-
RUM HAM!!
-
This season is barely watchable...I own seasons 1-5 and can't even make it through the most recent episodes. End it. Luckily THE LEAGUE is picking up the slack
-
That's all.
-
No. Actually its "ABC finally airs an unedited version of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" ...but, then edits "Christmas Tales" afterwards". They've been doing this for years; You either lose A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS for the PREP & LANDING bullshit, or, you lose CHRISTMAS TALES for annoying Target commercials. Merry Captialism, Charlie Brown!
-
Is fantastic.
-
What started out as an interesting concept has become another CBS 'by the numbers' police procedural. From a business standpoint, since their network gets such good ratings - it's hard to argue with their approach. As a viewer though, I virtually never watch anything on CBS because everything on their network is homogeneous, safe and really really bland. When I learned that Johnathan Nolan and Bad Robot were producing this show - I thought it might be different and made an exception. Since this is a Bad Robot production, I assumed that they'd be telling a larger, more interesting story - but so far - not so much. I'm just about to give up on it. Is anyone else watching this? Is it going to improve or will it be more of the same?
-
it took Communitys spot. only thing funnier is South Park ps: someone give "ravi" a show.
-
It is the most consistently funny show on TV right now. Jeff Goldblum as Ruxins father was inspired.
-
I think it still has some very funny moments, Louie is ok, sometimes too PC preachy...Loving the new Beavis n Butthead.....heheheheheheh
-
Sunny is, plot-wise, a much more complicated show. All the humor comes from the different characters interacting with each other and intertwined storylines and all the traditional sitcom stuff. Louie only really has one character. You're experiencing the world filtered through Louie, and the plots are much less simpler. Nothing seems forced, things just happen and Louie reacts, searching for humor in minutae. Both are great, hilarious shows.
-
I catch the last couple minutes of the reruns before the daily show and it just seems like a bunch of people trying way too hard to be edgy and outrageous. Kinda sad
-
just got a new viewer!!
-
I spent tonight watching the whole season so far, and the three episode run from 62 (Studies in Modern Movement), 63 (Documentary Filmmaking: Redux), and 64 (Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism) is probably the worst section of the show ever. Since it was on the bubble to begin with then, they could not have picked a worse time, to slide.
-
Easily the best 1-2 comedy punch on TV right now.
-
dennis reynolds is taking a seriously steep nose-dive into serial killer territory. hope they keep following that thread next year; could be wery interesting. come back soon, sunny. ooh! the league.
-
Oops. That's Megan Mullally.
-
I'm fine with it being more episodic, as long as they keep channeling the Equalizer/Vengeance Unlimited vibe. I find it much more entertaining than all the CSI/NCIS/L&O-style procedurals. And they had the lovely Bridget Regan (Legend of the Seeker) guest starring this week.

Robin Tunney is hot but Amanda Righetti is from another world.
by KilliK
I simply cant get enough of her while watching the show.
-
I can't believe nobody's making lewd comments about the deleted scene where Ann hugs April. Pulling her close, pressing up against her... I'll be in my bunk.
