BBC has released a short prequel to its forthcoming "The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe" Christmas Special which airs the evening of December 25 on BBC One and BBC America.
BBC One will broadcast the Special at 7pm on Christmas night. On BBC America, "The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe" will air December 25th at 9pm ET/PT. Want. See. Now.
Speaking of TARDISes, I have a not-necessarily-related question...
As some of you may know, I'm making my way though every DOCTOR WHO episode ever made - starting from the very beginning of the show.
At what point did the now-iconic TARDIS "grind" (the traditional materialization/dematerialization sound effect) appear on the show? I'm currently viewing "The Rescue" (Hartnell, Story #11) and JUST noticed the "grind" for the first time. Was "The Rescue" that sound effect's first appearance? Or do I not remember it from before - for some reason? PRETTY sure this is its debut..and if so, that's pretty awesome...
