John Ary here with a quick look at a few action figure lines that are making headlines this week...

 

Evil Dead 2 from NECA

The "chin" gets immortalized again in plastic with two new 7-inch figures featuring Ash and Deadite Ash. These should release in February.

 

Republic Clone Captain from Sideshow Collectibles

What's your favorite color of clone trooper? If you said red, you are in luck. This captain features more than 30 points of articulation, a fabric bodysuit, a full body captain armor set, a phase I helmet, 13 interchangable hands, two pairs of boots, a BlasTech DC-15A long range rifle, a BlasTech DC-15S blaster carbine and a figure stand. It will set you back $89.99 when it officially releases in the second quarter of 2012. It's up for pre-order here.

 

Sneak Peak from Hot Toys

Thanks to the Hot Toys Facebook community page, we have an early look at Loki, Red Skull, The Rescue Version of Captain America and Spider-Man. We're still waiting for more details about these 1/6 scale figures, but as soon as we hear anything, we'll post it on the Articulation Times website.

 

"The Keeper of Traken" set from Underground Toys

When a still charred and emaciated Master tries to steal enough power from an innocent civilization in order to regenerate himself, the Fourth Doctor leaps into action. This set features Tom Baker as The Doctor, a decayed version of The Master, The Melkur statue, the Master’s TARDIS as a Grandfather Clock and a source manipulator sphere. It should be available for around $50 when it goes on sale later this month.

 

Green Lantern Series 5 from DC Direct

7-inch scale versions of Green Lantern Sinestro, Soranik Natu, Green Lantern Guy Gardner, and Brother Warth make up the wave. These have an official release date of December 14. They’re also available for pre-order here.

 

And finally, we take a look at a 3.75-inch version of Victor Von Doom from the latest wave of Hasbro's Marvel Universe figures...
