All of the buzzzzzzzz from Seth... our fly on the wall at Warner's Animation

Published at:  Feb 09, 2000 7:25:57 PM CST

Well ol' Father Geek was sitting around Geek World Headquarters today dying from lack of E-mail when the phone rings. I check the caller ID and note that its out of area, I pickup hoping Harry's on the other end. Alas, there was only this humming, no, make that more of a buzz through which I could barely makeout the plea, "Help me... Help me." I know that voice, its Seth our fly on the wall at Warner Animation... I start up the high speed recorder, and...

I was buzzing around Jean MacCurdy's
(President of Warners Animation) head yesterday in her lovely 12th floor conference room
overlooking Sherman Oaks and the rest of the San Fernando Valley generally making a nusance of myself when her phone rang and she had it switched to speaker.

It
was a very interesting call, and because of it she filled
me
in a bit on the state of the division and exactly where they are aimed, as of now,
for the future.
She said they really are concentrating on wacky, edgy, comedy oriented
vehicles right now, with (her words) "about 12 Looney Toons" ideas or
projects in development now. (wanting to capitilize on another Space Jam or
something to that effect).

She also expounded on the Farrelly Bros. involvement as directors and
producers on Osmosis Jones, and stated that they are hoping that it will have some
semblance of a "Something About Mary" sensibility to it (Her words again).
She further said they would love to find some wacky, crazy episodic television ("to
like replace the Wakko Bros. with"). What was interesting were her comments
that after Osmosis Jones and this proposed Looney Toons thing, that she
really has "no idea" where they are going or what they are going to do.

It was
at this point, (sitting as I was atop her Emmy for Batman) that I heard the party on the other end of the line ask
her point blank, how come Warners isn't pursuing like crazy Paul Dini and Bruce
Timm to
do a DC character feature? Like Justice League, Green Lantern, or the like, as the fanboys
have been craving?
She replied, with a smirk, that indeed they are working up a few things and
have started meeting over on the lot with the higher powers that be! Further
she told the mysterious caller that Bruce ( her words yet again) "is most probably burned out on Batman" at this
point, so count that out. This is, of course, in contrast to what I have heard buzzing around the dynamic duo's quarters.

Anyhow thought that this might be a bit of
interesting news for you... ... ... Talk to
you soon.

All blessings,

Seth

I'm sure it's premature since we haven't heard anything about it, but let's get a Justice League cartoon off the ground. It'll be way better than that dang Avengers cartoon on Fox, especially with Batman:TAS crew working on it.

A Farrely animated movie would be sweet. It shouldn't be Osmosis Jones, though.I don't think that movie will be near as clever as most of the recent animated movies out there, even with the Farrely style. Also,I think when you said "Wakko Brotheres",what you MEANT was the WARNER Brothers(and the Warner Sister).

The Justice League Would Make A Brilliant Series.

    by roborob

With The possible end of The Batman animated series a good replacement for it would be THE JUSTICE LEAGUE. The main reason for this is that a mixed group of individuals can tell many differing stories and if they are Super Heroes then this adds to the power of the tales. Animation is the best way for Super Heroes to be seen,Look at THE X-MEN a group of mismatched Heroes that have benefited from their animated outings. I seriously doute that the New X-MEN Movie would have been made if not for it's success.

    Jack Kirby's NEW GODS!

    by chrisknight

Over a year ago there was talk about a NEW GODS flick. Remember the two-part Superman "Apocalypse...Now"? It was STUNNINGLY beautiful! The last scene, with Superman standing over Turpin's grave, brought tears to the eyes of me and my roomie. Michael Ironside's Darkseid was *perfect*. If Warners would give this epic the big-screen treatment it deserves, it would be a classic tribute to "King Kirby", not to mention being a fanboy's dream!

No,Alex,Freakazoid was a stunningly original series with a genius named Paul Rugg as the voice. He is a great voice artist and should be in every cartoon. It was not a ripoff at all!I've caught a few reruns and I'm despondent I hadn't heard of the show when it was still on.In fact,I'm crying right now.Not really, though. What we need is another hilarious show like that to cancel out the likes of Digimon and-shudder-the indescribably awful Rocket Power, trying desperately to leeach of the "Extreme Sports Craze",starring none other than the bastard children of those Mountain Dew guys.

    Warner's animation department. Oh Puh-Leese!

    by kentucky colonel

(Long, slow sip of Ezra Brooks 90 proof, over ice with water on the side........) Those folks at WB wouldn't know what to do with great animation if it bit them on the ass. THE IRON GIANT anyone? Can I get a witness? See, out here in the Great Commonwealth, it occours to me that the WB suits would come up with some idea like this...They get Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods (kinda sounds like a super hero name, don't it?) to appear with the Looney Toons (Where have you gone, Mel Blanc {RIP} A nation turns it's lonley ears to you, woo-hoo-hoo. Those new voices just leave me cold) so they can team up with Batman to save THE IRON GIANT from Apocolypse, cuz Superman is strung out on red kryptonite crack or something. Maybe I'm cynical. Maybe it's just the bourbon making me mean spirited. I'd say "Fuck WB animation!" if only I didn't love all of the forementioned (except Space Jam. Pee-Yew!). I guess I have high hopes/low expectations from WB. Thank goodness they don't own the Simpsons! Never, EVER do I want to see them on the big screen. EVER! Well, most probably never anyway (another long, slow sip of Ezra Brooks 90 proof, over ice of course.........)

    Batman Year One

    by darth delicious

Warner Bros. should jump on the opportunity to do a true Batman Year One animated series. Ideally, the series would have about a 5 year run; taking the story from conception through kindergarten. I imagine early episodes showing a bully Bane (about two years older than young Bruce taking his lunch money), a class cut-up Joker and young infant Selina Kile. The possiblities for cross-merchandising with shows like the Rugrats and a Burger King line of happy meal toys are endless.

    by sentinel prime x

I don't know if they are still planning this, but Wizard magazine reported almost a year ago that the next DC Heroes animated series was to be Legion Of Super-Heroes. The episode of Superman that featured Cosmic Boy, Chameleon Boy and Saturn Girl was supposed to serve as a pilot episode of sorts. Personally, I think it would make a much better series than Justice League. But please, no more lame cartoons like Hysteria. I just can't stomach that lame-ass show. By the way, what happened to good Fox Marvel based animated series? Avengers and Spider-Man Unlimited both suck ass. Silver Surfer had incredible potential, with the third season to have adapted the Infinity Gauntlet miniseries. *SIGH*

    I'm sorry,

    by danhelm

But I couldn't care less what happens with WB animation, and I doubt most other people would. The studio seems content to do middling TV cartoons that strip-mine the genius of the classic Warner Bros. shorts of Chuck Jones and others. As for Batman Beyond, the show did have its cool elements as well as great potential (who wouldn't love a Where Are They Now episode on one of the great arch-villians), but it somehow lacked the sharp writing of the previous Batman series. As for its movies, The Iron Giant was just a happy fluke from a studio that will be all too happy to give us more Space Jam style "products" in order to please its higher ups in Time-Warner-Turner-AOL-God-knows-who-els.

    A few slightly related tidbits

    by godai-kun

Ok, here we go. First off, I don't believe that Batman Beyond was cancelled. I read an interview with Paul Dini over at Another Universe, and he said that the series would be wrapping up at the end of season 3 with an appearance by Superman and some other heroes. Maybe it was his way of sugar coating "being cancelled", but he made it seem like a 3 season run was the framework all along.... As for the above poster who is wondering what happened to Catwoman & Co., keep an eye out for that upcoming direct-to-video "Return of the Joker". Not only will Batman's arch foe return, but I heard that a good portion of the film is a flashback that shows what happens to many of the characters from the original series..... As for the Justice League cartoon, it's been constantly denied by all suspected to be involved, but the Warner Bros. store is now selling a Wonder Woman maquette (a statue the animators use to draw from) done in the style of Timm. The statue is awesome, but wouldn't it make more sense to make a Green Lantern, or Flash, or ANYone who has actually appeared on TAS? If they aren't going to make a Justice League cartoon, they sure are torturing us with this WW statue. Makes you realize the greatness that may never be. I can understand Timm being tired of Batman. It's been his life for about 10 years. But think of the flexibility a 7 member team of superheroes gives you. Solo stories, group stories, the members' combined rogue's galleries. I doubt it would be boring to work on a show with so many posibilities. If you get tired of writing one character, you can always write one of the other six.

  • I'd love to see an animated Secret Wars miniseries, as I am a Marvel Zombie at heart, but sadly I don't have to point out the shitty quality of Marvel films/tv shows. Hey Timm/Dini! Tired of doing Batman? How about giving us a decent X-men or Fantastic Four cartoon?! :) Hey, I can dream can't I?..... Seriously though, anyone check out Timm's Avengers 1/2? Good stuff that!

    not pokemon's fault

    by gary2012

that was all just speculation on IGN's part. They just said that they thought it might be because it is cheaper for WB to buy stuff like Pokemon and put it on than to produce new animation like Batman Beyond. WB never said anything about Batman Beyond other than that they are stopping production on it after episode 52. Personally I would love a Justice League show or even a DC Universe show because then they could do anything at all with any characters, even those not in the Justice League. That show might actually be a bit too much though because a lot of the stuff they could do would epend on the audience having a large basis of knowledge in the DC Universe, where as the Justice League is well known and has more of a framework to it that would help provide more familiarity for the younger or less knowledgable audience members.

  • In Dini and Timm's hands, I'd have to say hell yes it could! I hate to see Batman close shop, but if the head honchos are burned out on it, let 'em move on and try their hand at the JLA. Most of the JLA bigshots have appeared in the Superman cartoon already: Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman. Introduce Wonderwoman and the Martian Manhunter, and you're set. The Flash and Aquaman episodes were pretty lame as I recall, but the characters were sound. The Green Lantern episode, however, kicked some serious ass much to my surprise. Never read any of the Kyle Rayner GL comics, but I have to admit the concept of a young artist wielding the GL power is much more interesting than giving it to a somewhat generic test pilot hero like Hal Jordan. Gotta say, JLA is definitely the way to go for Warner Brothers, from the fan perspective and a business perspective. Fans are clamoring for it, especially after Grant Morrison put the comic back into the spotlight. From a business point of view, the JLA has the potential to set up innumerable spin-offs. Superman and Batman hang out in specific cities, but the JLA covers the world and the universe, so they could meet with just about any hero or villain in DC's history. This is a HUGE opportunity, and Warner Brothers should sieze it. ********** As an occasional Legion of Super-Heroes fan, I'd dig on seeing them get their own series too. Their guest shot on Superman rocked hard.

JLA cartoon: A geeks dream come true (I hope!)

    by lestat1

I think EVERYONE would love an all new JLA animated series, but it's ultimately up to WB if they want it or not. It makes no sense to me why they would not want it, but according to interviews that i have read with Paul Dini and Brice Timm, the WB wants a "kids" oriented show, and they just see the JLA as 7 adults hanging out. That is the REAL reason Batman Beyond is about a 17 year old Batman. The fact that Batman and Superman are adult characters and have held their own for years on their own shows seems to be lost on the WB. Also lost on the WB is the fact that a lame ass show like SuperFriends lasted for something like 15 years based soley on the coolness of seeing the World's Greatest SuperHeroes together. Imagine if Dini & Burnett got a hold of the JLA; the possibilities are endless: The friendly rivalry between Flash and Green Lantern, the NOT so friendly rivalry between Batman and Superman,The Martian Manhunter's Spock-like coolness, Aquamans bad attitude, Wonder Woman's warroir fiercness colliding with JLA principles. . . the possibilities are endless for a classic DC cartoon that could run for years on end. like I said, for the WB this would only make too much sense, even MORE sense than another season of Batman/Supes (as much as I love that show) as consolidating their two main characters into one show is more economically feasable from their standpoint. And if they want a "Kid"factor, then just add Robin and Supergirl or something, I mean, it's better than the damn Wonder Twins or (Shudder) Wendy, Marvin & Wonder Dog. Sadly, the WB isn't know for making logical choices, as their abrupt cancellation of Batman Beyond can attest to (Although, folks, we won't see that final episode for at least a year or more. It aint over yet) And from those same interviews that I have read with Dini & Timm, I get the feeling that they DON"T want a JLA show much either.Too bad for us. One small glimmer of hope. recently Paul Dini said that there would be many OTHER Heroes on the 3rd season of Batman Beyond, both older versions of current DC heroes, as well as their descendants. And when Superman shows up in the final episode, he'd be bring some friends along. A future JLA maybe? Possible tease of things to come? We can only hope.

    by ed_grimley

I remember a kickass episode of The Superfriends where Batman and Robin were sent out to investigate the disappearance of some books at the Library! When they parked out front Batman cautioned Robin not to walk on the grass. The fact that Robin talked exactly like Shaggy/ Casey Kasem only enhanced things.
In closing, my cynical ass expects Warner to make this the plot of the new Batman movie, and hand it to our hero Joel Shumacher...

What's up with these cancellations I'm hearing about from WB. Dont they know they already have the best lineup of animated shows on TV and the bigscreen (if they keep up with the standards they set with THE IRON GIANT). The Sad State of "Heroic Animation"

    by kolobos rexx

HEYY KIDDIEES!! Hellknight here with his two-cents on the animation issue. As far as I could tell, Timm/Dini didn't plan on "Batman Beyond" lasting "beyond' a third season, which might equate to about 52 episodes. This may have something to do with the fect that, geniuses though they are, the Dini/Timm team has become really flighty lately. How the hell do you "burn out" on the best animated series ever, namely "BTAS"? Emmy-Winning and what-not! "Batman Beyond" is pretty cool, and I love the "harder edge', but it suffers from a few problems: One: Virtually NO villan ever shows up more than once! Other than Blight(uncerimoniously "tossed away" with no real resoulution and no apparent plans for a return(their words!), and Inque, the Royal Flush Gang, maybe a couple more... Most of the villans end up apparently dead! Chimera, Ratboy, Earthmover, Mr. Fixx... Others just get discarded. (Willie Watt.) Two: A total lack of any "Rogue's gallery". The villans have been largely ininteresting, and never seem to last(see above). Three: The stories are ok, but don't come anywhere near to the sophisticated storytelling prelavent in 90% of the original BTAS and its follow-up. Anyone remeber "His Silicon Soul"? How about "I am the Night"? or even "Almost Got 'Em"? "Showdown"? "The Laughing Fish"? Harley's Holiday"? "Mad as a Hatter"? "Perchance to Dream"? There hasn't been, in my opinion, anything remotely on par with these shows on "Batman Beyond". And please, enough "funny shows"! I think we have enough badly-drawn, inanely-written "animated comedies" clogging the airwaves... Not to mention the "pokemon" clones... As far as Marvel Animation goes, there han't been anything great since the 2nd season Iron Man/Fantastic Four, and the first season Hulk. Never got to see "Silver Surfer". Spider-Man and X-men were mostly decent... Spidey got real bad that last season or so, though... Anyone remember when Ghost Rider appeared on "Fantastic Four" and took down Galactus? That ROCKED!!! Anyway, the current "Avengers" show is pretty bad: fairly mediocre art, lousy, indistinctive voices, (except for Kang!) and some truly bad dialogue. I won't go into the plotting, as that could be an even LONGER rant. Why can't we see an "X-Men" show with art like the end-title sequence from the recent syndication? That was awesome!! For that Matter, why not any Marvel show? Imagine what great-looking figures could be made off a "George Perez"-styled "Avengers"! Just a Thought... I would love to see a show that actually clung somewhat to the comic continuity... Or at least was REALLY well-drawn and written... That's about all I have to say, kiddies. "PLAY NICE." -Hellknight.

I found that interview with Paul Dini if anyone wants to read it. It's at http://anotheruniverse.com/columns/animated/animated012100.html Hope that works! Sorry, Darth. I didn't mean to mislead you. I'm not sure if tne Batman Beyond feature will reveal anything about what happened to villians other than the Joker, but it does seem definite that the fates of Robin and Nightwing will be told. I just read the article again, and it says that 1/4 of the film will be flashback. I'm sure they'll make reference to what happened to some of the villians. Even if it is in the subtlest of ways. After all, they've already mentioned Selena Kyle, and interacted with Bane and Mr. Freeze on eps of Beyond.... And I'm afraid I can't agree with the poster who said BB doesn't have an impressive rogues gallery. I find most of the villians interesting and half of them have already made return appearances. They're not as great as the original Batman's baddies, but Bruce has been around for over 60 years, and Terry's only been around for 20 odd episodes. Not a bad start, I think.

    Warners Animation...

    by irie

...is in the sad sorry state it was since last year. The artists on Osmosis Jones are having fun, but primarily because they're having to make the film so fast that there's not much time to diddle with details. It's being shipped all over the world for completion--not a bad thing necessarily--but chances of inconsistancy are greatly increased. Animaniacs sucks (art AND "writing"). Batman sucks (at least the writing. the ARTWORK is great!). Quest for Camelot sucked. "Iron Giant" was BRILLIANT. Where's Brad Bird?? Jean MaCurdy might be a wonderful woman, but she has no feature experience--and even if she did, the Warners management DOES NOT UNDERSTAND ANIMATION--and most of the executives are more worried about their short-term career gains to have patience to learn.

Instead of doing yet more animation based on DC or Marvel comics (as good as a series like Batman Beyond is), maybe Warner could do something different. The Tick wasn't based on a comic from a large corporation, but it was easily one of the best animated series while it was running.
The Dirty Pair (based on Dark Horse's comics) would be quite different. Two attractive scantily clad women going around accidently destoying star bases and planets would be cool. What more could you ask for?

New Gods and JLA: GREENLIGHT Them NOW, You Fools!

    by drath

Anyone who missed the SILVER SURFER missed one of the coolest animated shows on TV!!!! Jack Kirby's creations should have been transformed into Star Wars sized film franchises by now, but stupid executives and poorly targetted marketing campaigns have hindered the Rise of the Empire. I think SS's low ratings reflected a sad truth for kiddie-targeted programs. Stylization doesn't make sense to them. Remember the first rule of design: people are shit heads. Well magnify that by a hundred when dealing with kids. They are DUMB, and their wacked out sense of what is good and what is bad is forever tentative(darn 3-second attention-span little freaks). We thought Power Rangers was bad, but Pokemon has taken us even lower. But you can be sure that after all this powderpuff shit, children will WANT to return to the action-adventure cartoons of the 80's(spawned by Star Wars which has now returned--and note that the kiddies loved it). Look at TV animation. When I was a kid, we had fun, cool stuff like Thundercats, He-Man and She-ra, GI Joe, Transformers. Even so-so stuff like Defenders of the Earth and Centurions and Silverhawks and Go-bots were watchable. Well...Go-bots, maybe not...but the point is, we had COOL stuff to watch, we loved the action and adventure. Now, I'm not saying that stuff would ALL work again today. But when Dungeons and Dragons comes out, He-Man will return, mark my words. And right now, petty clones of Animaniacs and Pokemon clog the airwaves. And a growing underbelly of kid viewers are growing sick and tired of this cheesy shite. In two years, the kids who love this shit will get...oh I don't know, a clue, and join the undercrowd, wanting to see dramatic stuff again, like Xena only in Animation. X-Men will re-interest them in super-hero groups. WB, Think of all the cool toys you'll be able to sell if you put on your own super-hero group show(I mean JLA, not the latest beach models in Power Ranger suits spin-off)! Can't you see how long X-Men toys have lasted? Hell, look at Batman, AND THAT'S JUST THE SAME DANG FIGURE WITH A DIFFERENT PAINT JOB!!!!!!! If Bruce Timm and Paul Dini are tiring of Batman and are actually unsure of JLA, then dear god give them more money and give them the power to make these things now, while their interest can be replenished!!! WB, you have NOTHING good left on your cartoon line-up but your superhero stuff. And by "good," I mean stuff that can be shown again in like five years without people barfing from over-exposure. Make JLA and make millions. And New Gods? Hohohoho, just shut up and make it. Make it now.

    Sandman

    by matchstick77

I love Sandman. And here is why it will never be a movie (and SHOULD never be)
Because Sandman is ultimately a story ABOUT stories..and you cannot condense that into a 2 hour snippet. The reason that Sandman is so different..so wonderful, is because it is so huge...so sprawling...so immaculatly plotted...that any effort to reduce Gaiman's story would result in losing all the subtle nuances, references, and throwaway bits that help define it as a masterwork. Besides, the way things are in Hollywood, we would never get the Sandman we know and love on screen. We'd get Jon Peter's Sandman, where Dream is conjured up at a girl's slumber party (no joke! that was his idea). Great literary works rarely make it to the screen intact...and maybe thats the way it should be. Sandman is too good to allow it to be dumbed down like so much else out there.

    God bless you, Drath!

    by cerebro

I don't give a flying fuck what anyone has to say, the 80's had the best animated shows ever made, and I dare anyone to find an animated show today that kicks more ass than Dungeons & Dragons, He-Man, or Transformers! Beast Machines-shit! Beast Wars-not as stinkey, but in comparrison, still shit! I can't list modern alternatives to the other two, because no one's tried the formula. Not that they could duplicate it, mind you, but at least give it a shot, come on! Enough with Digimon Rancher or Monster-mon, Power Rangers: Interstellar Lifeguards, or any other steaming pile of poorly drawn, under written Battle-Cat crap! The children of the 80's must rise up and demand the return of our heroes! Contact and petition everyone you can, bring back He-Man, bring back Transformers, bring back D&D, build a new cartoon network on the shoulders of these and other animation giants and watch the ratings soar! I'm not going to lie, there are plenty of good animated shows out there, but nothing on a par with what once was. BTAS-kicked ass, BB-kicked ass, X-Men-kicked more ass than you can shake a stick at. If you plan on doing it right, then by all means, make the JLA, make the New Gods or Legionaires, or any other attempt to resurrect the apparently fading art of action animation. And while you're trying to come up with something new, don't throw out what you had that works! BTAS, BB, The Tick, Animaniacs (yes, ANIMANIACS!), when you find something that works, by the power of Greyskull, keep it around! If these people over at Turner Brothers, or whatever shit factory these pieces of flotsam are squeezing out of, can't get their act together and keep animation alive, it may be up to the next generation to revive the lost art! Any one out there with kids, if you remember the back to back greatness that was Saturday morning TV, then please, share it with your kids, let them know that there was something before Pokemon, and it was good! There, Prometheus has brought fire to men, now let us see how they use it. On second thought, fuck that, MAKE SOME GOOD CARTOONS OR BRING BACK HE-MAN!

NARF...zoit....Bruce Timm burned out on Batman?

    by mckracken

not likely...I find it odd that she'd have no clear cut direction as to where to take the studio's animation department next...and try to replace Wakko, Yakko and Dot!!! BLAH..."what are we going to do tonight Brain?" "the same thing we do every night Pinky, try to take over the world!" well I'll give them some suggestions ....PINKY AND BRAIN THE MOVIE, ANIMANIACS: THE MOVIE, IRON GIANT II!!!! Kripes Lady-- buy a brain!!

    Timm's "PREACHER"

    by agent10111

Can I get a witness? Seriously as a fan of both the Batman and Superman TAS there was nothing I liked better that the interplay between our two most beloved titans in tights. The creative teams understood what it was that made them heroes and also what made them human (or at least humaniod). Imagine what they could do with a bunch of Superheroes together, like the JLA. I think what will most likely happen though, is that they'll ask Bruce Timm et all to come up with BRAND NEW superheroes. Ones the WB marketing team can completely own the rights to and make all new toys for the tots. Which is, after all, why we the loving and voracious fans got Bats Beyond in the first place. My only wish is that they slack up on the standards and clearences thing and allow some realy dark and gritty stuff to go on. The darker our villians get, the closer our heroes are to the light.

    A WB Dirty Pair Series?

    by rmfx

Now there's an idea! And as any oldschool anime fan knows, the Dirty Pair comic was based on a series of Japanese sci-fi novels, which also was made into an animated TV series in japan in the late 70's to ealry 80's! There were also 2 animated movies made followed by 2 direct-to-video series! With all that material already out there, seems WB could pull another Pokemon--just get some voice talent, dub the old series, write some snappy theme song, slap Kei and Yuri on some trading cards, get a Mughi toy deal with Burger King, release the movies a year later, and Voila! Another hit with almost no production costs! Personally, I'd rather see them do a Dirty Pair live action movie. Maybe Angelina Jolie, Robin Tunney and lots of CGI! Drool, drool....

The best animation being made in the world to day is in Japan and there aint no one who can dispute that. I'm a big fan of the late 80's to mid 90's stuff personally I love the original MACROSS movies and the American version ROBOTECK both are very well done (MACROSS had better animation thoe) both excellent series if you ask me. But I do remember the great cartoons of the 80's He-man, She-ra, Marshall brave star, Transformers, and the big who's come back has helped member these great animated series VOLTRON he kicketh so much asseth (I'm surprised with the return of the lion force that vehicle force has not been remembered). But I like the anmie from the mid 80's threw today (most of is not for kids). I would also like to say bring back He-man. But will also like to say (as I have before) that the American film industry needs a major successful animated relse not meant for the 12 and under crowed that every one makes animated films for (good as IORN GIANT was and I did like it lets face facts it was meant for 10 year olds) American animation dose have potential that it just doesn
