Doctor Who decided to cut its sixth season in two this year! Doctor Who 6.x Vol. 2 offers the last six episodes for $17.99 on DVD or $20.99 on Blu.
If you can wait two more weeks, the complete season-six sets arrive Nov. 22 for $54.99 on DVD and $62.99 on Blu-ray. That sounds more expensive, but maybe there are special extras or something.
If you buy the new Band of Brothers/The Pacific Blu-ray bundle instead of the separate sets, you’re going to pay $99.99 instead of $113.98.
Before today, Universal only nine seasons of “Law & Order” – specifically seasons one through eight and (for some reason) season 14. Law & Order: The Complete Series contains all 20 seasons. Season Three of Sliders is alright if youre a fan of the show. Its not the best, its not the worst. Spoiler Alert: A main cast member dies. Hell, this person may have been separated from the group before they allegedly died. Anyways, for 10 bucks, its a good deal. There are 3 or 4 solid episodes....

You'd have to pay me to take a copy of that season. Season 1 was my favorite. Never managed to catch more than a couple episodes of the 5th season, but season 3 was a definite nadir, with bad acting (Take a bow, Kari Wuhrer), terrible effects (see the giant bug in SLIDE LIKE AN EGYPTIAN, or the monster from PARADISE LOST), and a number of movie "inspired" episodes (Take a bow, THE BREEDER). Oh yeah, and a horribly written death for one of the main cast. It also has the wonderful line, "He severed a neurotransmitter" to explain why one character was in a wheelchair! I always thought Sabrina Lloyd was hot though.

Did they ever slide home or did they end up like the Quantum Leap guy?
by Al
Did Sliders end up on the Friday death slot on Fox? Eventually? I think it stayed there for years, maybe.
-
in Season 4 they got home, only it had been conquered by the Cromags (a race descended from Cromagnon's on a parallel earth who had developed sliding technology. Good concept, lame execution - I think they made them into pandimensional Nazis, revamping them after their first rather different appearance in a previous episode). Then the season arc dealt with finding a weapon to liberate their earth. Sabrina Lloyd did not return for the 4th or 5th seasons. Can't recall if they ever saved Earth or not, but by then I didn't even care. Season 3 was the last one on FOX before it got cancelled (I recall it being on Fridays, but I may be mistaken). Then the show was snapped up by the Sci-Fi Channel for the last 2 seasons.

Heavy D!

The studio thinks they can screw us into paying twice for the same material? Specifically the nine seasons they've already released of LAW & ORDER so that we can get the rest in that big box set? Not on your life.
-
It's been forever, but I kind of remember a slider hole opened up but was going to close in a few minutes so they had to make a quick decision whether they stay or try the next parallel earth. Jerry O'connell checked to see if his house's front gate had the same familiar squeak he grew up with. It didn't and they saw a newspaper with an O'Jay on trial for murder headline. They thought that was too crazy to be part of their Earth and the gate was different so they left. Seconds later a handy man his mom hired to do all the work O'connel wasn't doing turned the corner with an oil can.

Stupid Jerry O'Connell not building a history function into his crappy dimensional vortex generator
