Hey folks, Happy Halloween! Ambush Bug here from AICN HORROR/AICN COMICS!
With my new comic book LUNA: ORDER OF THE WEREWOLF hitting the stands this week, I thought it’d be cool to hook up some of the readers of AICN with copies of the book. FAMOUS MONSTERS MAGAZINE was nice enough to publish this story of werewolf monks vs mountain climbers and they are continuing the generosity by giving away five copies of the comic as well as five copies of their current issue of the magazine (which contains not only a retrospective of witches in cinema by yours truly, but also an interview with the creators of LUNA; artist Tim Rees, co-writer Martin Fisher, and myself).
Nothing too hard, just send a brief 100 words or less paragraph stating what your favorite werewolf story is (could be movies, comics, prose, cartoons, whatever) and why to this link. I’ll be announcing the winners of the contest on Wednesday, the day LUNA: ORDER OF THE WEREWOLF is unleashed! You can order a copy of LUNA here too, if you’re feeling unlucky!

Is the last bit of real movie news this site has reported the story that Albert Finney joined Bond 23? From Friday? Really? Everything since then has been Pictures of the Day, Comics, Horror, Toys, screening winners, etc... but not one shred of honest to goodness movie news? This is not a slight on you, Ambush Bug, who is doing good work with all your stories. Its just... sheesh I expected someone else to be working today, that's all!

Yeah, AICN isn't really where you go for movie news these days

People always complain whenever there's a bit of news about some upcoming movie that it was reported elsewhere ages ago bit seeing as I only ever really come here I never cared. But if AICN isn't even going to bother anymore then I why should we bother coming here? The only thing that keeps me coming back is the banter of the Talkbacks and Harry's constant decline into mental breakdown. Like how he recently said he's in desperate need of a vacation away from his "job" of watching movies all day long.

Its like everyone but Ambush Bug and Quint is asleep at the wheel. Honestly, the main reason I continue to come is hope. I HOPE this place will eventually get better. I hope this site will try to be like it once was. I hope we'll get cool stories every now and then, like Quint's interview with Richard Taylor and his Hobbit set-report. Even the talkbacks have gotten boring lately. I mean *really* boring. I don't have much interest in engaging anyone anymore. All the really interesting talkbackers have left or been banned it seems. I'm betting on the former, though. There just hasn't been much of anything "Cool" lately to discuss. Its sad, really. But I'll still keep coming, hoping it'll get better. But in the meantime, for real movie news, better go somewhere else it seems.
