Play Arts Kai Arkham Asylum Batman and Joker from Square Enix

The Play Arts Kai line of figures are famous for their 9-inch scale and mixture of detail and poseability. The Batman: Arkham Asylum videogame is known for great action and art direction. Mix the two together and you get these two plastic pillars of awesome. Both Batman and The Joker come with interchangeable hands, their trademark weapons and 26 points of articulation. They are both available for pre-order here and here.

Marvel Select Amazing Spider-Man from Diamond Select Toys

San Diego Comic Con brought us the unveiling of the new 3.75-inch Amazing Spider-Man movie figure. This weekend's New York Comic Con gave us our first glimpse of the new Marvel Select 7-inch scale version. USAToday.com got the first peek with this pic of Spidey. It will feature 16 points of articulation and will be available at specialty stores and comic shops in the spring. The previous Marvel Select movie figures for Thor and Captain America have included both the protagonist and main bad guy, but there has been no word yet of a Lizard figure.

The “Enemies of the Third Doctor Collectors Set” features Drashig, Omega with a detachable head and Auton with Nestene Sphere and swappable gun hand. Gremlins Series 1 by NECA

It was always hard for me to compare the first and second Gremlins movies. One had a real sense of danger, while the other played for laughs. Both kicked ass though. Fans of The New Batch will soon be getting this trio sequelly goodness. The George Gremlin features a cigar, while the Flasher Gremlin has a flexible trenchcoat, cigarette and removable sunglasses and the Daffy Gremlin comes with a noisemaker, gag glasses and a winning smile. Each figure stands almost 6-inches tall and will release later this year.

If you happen to be more of a fan of the original Gremlins, NECA has you covered too. A new series of Mogwais recently hit retail. Here's my review of Gizmo.

That's it this week. For more toy updates and action figure reviews, you can follow me on my website ArticulationTimes.com, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. Keep collecting!
