AICN COMICS / AICN HORROR: Ambush Bug’s in New York for the 2011 New York Comic Con hosting the AICN COMICS: HORROR ON THE PANELED PAGE panel with horror comics’ top talent! Plus the winners of the WARREN ELLIS: CAPTURED GHOSTS Premiere Contest!

Hey folks, Ambush Bug here. Just wanted to give you all a heads up that I’m at this year’s New York Comic Con. Tonight I’ll be hosting a panel called AICN COMICS: HORROR ON THE PANELED PAGE on Friday night at 8:45pm with panelists Ben Templesmith (30 DAYS OF NIGHT, WORMWOOD GENTLEMAN CORPSE), Brandon Seifert (WITCH DOCTOR), Menton 3 (SILENT HILL, MONOCYTE), Alan Robert (WIRE HANGERS, CRAWL TO ME), David Quinn (FAUST), Tim Seeley (HACK/SLASH, WITCHBLADE), Matt Pizzolo (Halo-8 founder, GODKILLER), Chris Monifette (HELLRAISER) and possibly a few surprise guests. The panel is late this year: 8:45-9:45pm on Friday Room 1A22, but we promise to make it worth staying for. This is a continuation of a similar panel I did this summer at SDCC and looks to be another great one dissecting all of the goods and bads of horror in comics.

I also wanted to announce the winners of our Warren Ellis Documentary contest: Halo-8 will sponsor a sneak preview of Patrick Meany’s documentary, WARREN ELLIS: CAPTURED GHOSTS on Friday October 14th at 11:15pm downtown Cinema Village, 22 E 12th Street, NYC 10003, (212-924-3363) during New York Comic Con.

Here are the winners:

Brad Trechak
Douglas Hahner
James McGorry
Lacey Miller
Brandie Pinney

Congratulations to the winners! Please have a photo ID with you to claim your free pairs of tickets at the ticket booth. If you didn’t win and are interested in picking up tickets to the event click here. Thanks to everyone who entered the contest!

So if you’re going to be at NYCC this year, let me know and I’ll be sure to check out your booth or presentations. And be sure to check out these events above! If you won’t be there, I’ll be reporting back to you all here at AICN to keep you posted on all that happens!
