Fritz Lang’s M is truly amazing. Set aside my adoration of Peter Lorre as a force of nature, Fritz Lang’s brilliant eye and you’re left with this fantastic script that makes you sympathize with a child killer! How is that possible? I don’t know, but Lang and Thea von Harbou found a way.
