‘There’s No Room For Emotion In This!!’ Hercules Says Tonight’s BREAKING BAD Is The One Fans Have Long Been Waiting For!!

AMC says of 4.10, “Salud”:

Walt's family worries when he doesn't turn up for Walter, Jr.'s 16th birthday. Jesse is forced to put his lab skills to the test without Mr. White's help.

As the logline might suggest, this is another huge Jesse episode. More in the text invisible.

* Another title for this episode could be “Where’s Walto?” He’s absent for a major chunk of the episode, which focuses instead on Jesse and Skyler, both of whom get great scenes this week.

* Saul has more than one scene but Hank and Marie are wholly absent.

* Gus is all over this episode but we learn nothing about why Steven Bauer’s character claimed to know something about Gus’ true Chilean identity.

* The episode begins with Jesse greeting a small red plane.

* First dialogue post-teaser: “You have reached Walter White.”

* Mike’s associate, the one Walt called the cops on, returns this week.

* No fewer than three of the series’ regulars are blindfolded this week.

* We are again reminded of Walt’s seeming disdain for boxers.

* Skyler makes reference to at least two automobile purchases this week. Neither auto the sports car Walt set afire.

* Dialogue: “There is no room for emotion in this.”

* I have pages of notes on this episode, but a fear of spoiling governs sternly this week. Suffice it to say Big happens this week.

* How does it end? Chaos.

After tonight, three season-four episodes left.

10 p.m. Sunday. AMC.
