Nordling here.
Seems everyone at the site except me's seen this one, but I'm going to end that disparity next week, and hopefully with 200 of you as guests! Next Wednesday, September 7th at the Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks, I'm hosting an AICN screening of 50/50, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen in a comedy that I'm told is extremely moving without being over-the-top sentimental, and still uproariously funny. The director, Jonathan Levine, made the damn good coming-of-age story THE WACKNESS and the still-unseen-by-me horror film ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE. And across the board, the AICN crew loved 50/50, so I'm really excited to see it.
If you're in Houston and want to see it as well, pop me an e-mail to aicnhoustonscreenings@gmail.com with the header "What's My Diagnosis, Doc?" List yourself and the names of up to three additional people that you want to come with you (if it's just you no problem). And that's it! I'll post the list and send email confirmation to those who get in. This theater will be overbooked to insure capacity, and seating is not guaranteed if you do get in, so make sure you get there early. If you do get in and you don't attend this could bar you from future AICN screenings, so if you're unable to go you need to drop me an email letting me know. Good luck!
Nordling, out.
