ScoreKeeper Is Going Inside THE BLACK HOLE And Won't Be Back For 55 Minutes and 5 Seconds!!

Greetings! ScoreKeeper here ringing the holy grail bell in celebration of Intrada's latest soundtrack release. THE BLACK HOLE (1979) has been on my personal wish list for so many years I was beginning to think it wouldn't happen. Even in the midst of the great millennial soundtrack boon I was wondering if legalese or lost materials would prevent it from ever seeing the light of day.

Today I can strike one more title off my list of holy grails. Intrada Records has released John Barry's uber-awesome complete score for Disney's THE BLACK HOLE. Every note of the score has been given the royal treatment from sound quality to packaging. It contains all the music from the original LP and more than twenty minutes of previously unreleased music including some material not used in the film.

This is spectacular! It doesn't look like this is a limited edition so there shouldn't be any issues with it selling out as is often the case with in-demand soundtracks such as this. Still, I wouldn't waste any time. I ordered mine as soon as the news was announced.
