SUNDANCE REPORT: KC Gal reports on LOVE & SEX.... calm down... well actually get excited... go ahead

Harry here with ol KC GAL firing away from Sundance with LOVE AND SEX. Hmmm.... sounds like a fun time in a hot tub in the frozen mountain tops of Sundance... but nope... tis merely a film and not a personal Penthouse Forum letter. It sounds like the film is quite a blast... Let's hope we see this one at a theater near you, me and us.

KC GAL writing in from Sundance. So far I've seen 9 films and am planning to see 25 more in the upcoming week....

LOVE AND SEX REVIEW:

I absolutely loved LOVE AND SEX. It is a must-see comedy starring the hilarious and humble Jon Favreau (Swingers) and the comical, yet sophisticated actress Famke Janssen (who is absolutely stunning and beautiful!) She is one of the few female actresses that both men and women will find enrapturing and comical (to the likes of Cameron, Julia, and Selia Ward). SNL's Cheri Oteri has a minor but hilarious role in the film. The cast works perfectly together.

The film is a realistic, fresh and hilarious exploration of love, sex, dating, and commitment. What differentiates this film from most other romantic comedies, is that this film is appealing, funny and sexy to both men and women. In addition, LOVE AND SEX is not a "chick flick" like many other romantic comedies. I think almost everyone can relate to at least some of the experiences the main character encounters throughout her quest. The dialogue is funny, brilliant, fresh and most significantly - real.

Valerie Breiman, the screenwriter/director of LOVE AND SEX, was in attendance for the premiere last night as well as both of the starring cast members. Valerie described the film as sort of autobiographical. The audience suggested that the humorous, intelligent, and also beautiful Valerie herself could have starred in this film as well.

Jon Favreau and Famke Janssen commented last night that a lot of the film was improvised. It is obvious that whatever they did in the filmmaking process...it worked! Both of their performances were fresh and entertaining. They are both incredible talents - Jon's performance was fantastic, and he really shines throughout the film, while Famke could launch her career as a leading actress in this film.

They definitely have a hit on their hands!
